I was on a private tour and we walked around the old town of Tbilisi during my tour. It was a rainy day so we sort of started and stopped several times. It isn't a really big area and it is kind of hilly. There are some churches, mosque, synagogue and a Turkish bath in the area. Plus there are... More

Tbilisi's old town is the most charming neighbourhood. Old streets and architecture, little old ortodox churches, a morque and a synagogue. And lots of eateries and shops. Just wander and allow yourself to get lost. Take a peek at the pateos and inner yards, all of them fully inhabited. Don't be shy. Chances are someone will simply invite you in... More

We had lunch at the KGB restaurant. Great food and even better wine. The service was also very good. The restaurant are situated at a busy area and it's a great location to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine.

Its nice to take a walk around the old town which has a couple of really old churches with one dating back to 5th-6th century. This is the best way to soak in the local culture.

The Old City is wonderful. The buildings are well maintained, They give an authentic feel of being in an old town, and the new buildings are designed to fit into the same style, which is wonderful to see that the people of Tblisi don't want their heritage destroyed. There are lovely narrow streets lned by cafes interspersed with churches, caravanserai... More

Definitely a nice and ambient part of town even if a bit touristy but hey, I like tourists they add to variety and nice lively buzz not to mention the revenue generated. Great to stroll around lots of old buildings (would love to see more renovations and maintenance), cobbled streets, "city" hills with cable car to the top, embankment establishments... More
