We went to Kakheti as a group of friends and stopped off at a few different wineries. All were a little different and all had their charms. We were able to sample lots of wines and were presented with an abundance of delicious food throughout the trip. The driver was courteous and most importantly drove very safely.

The evening was relaxed and the accommodation chosen was really beautiful.

Everything was organised for us, we just indicated our preferences and they arranged everything. I highly recommend using them as I can't imagine being able to do this type of tour independently. Their experience, communication skills and local knowledge was invaluable.

It was our friend's first time in Georgia and we wanted to give him the best experience in the wine region - and Tom did not disappoint!

Thanks to Tom and the charming guide Keta, we've had a full day of fun with authentic Georgian food and delicious wine in the Kakheti region.

We got to sample local snacks at the market, savoured rare wine in a historical cottage decorated with Soviet artefacts.

Our first favourite was visiting the qvevri producer Zaza. He gave us an outstanding explanation of the centuries-old winemaking technique which is also on the UNESCO heritage list. His passion and enthusiasm was so infectious.

Our second favourite was visiting Shalauri Cellars - known as one of the acclaimed winemakers and exporters in the country. One of the owners David treated us to a huge feast and shared unique stories with us. We had so much fun that we didn't want to leave!

Big shoutout to Tom for curating such a memorable experience and to Keta. Keta was the main guide of the tour as well as a level 3 sommelier. She took care of everyone on the tour, was incredibly charming and knowledgable about Georgian wine.

We were also impressed by how flexible and adaptable Tom and Keta are. We had some heavy downpours during the tour, but Tom manages to quickly arrange a more suitable indoor winery and it turned out to be just as fun.

It was such a great way to introduce the diverse wine culture to our friend and make new friends.

Whether you're an expat, a local or a temporary visitor, check out Eat This! Tour! It'll have something unique to offer for everyone.

I had SUCH an amazing day on the wine tour with Tom! It was day trip from Tbilisi with a group of friends and it was the perfect way to beat the heat and enjoy some of the countryside.

At the first winery we visited, there was a feast of delicious cheeses, meats and fruits and a tasting of several wines in the beautiful shady, leafy garden. Plus we got a bit of an unexpected surprise - the granddaughter of the winery owner sang to us and played a traditional Georgian instrument. (I think it's called a panduri?) Her voice was truly powerful and it was one of those unforgettable moments.

At the second winery, we lounged by the pool for the rest of the afternoon and ate even more delicious Georgian food. There was even a hammock to chill out in! It was so nice, I didn't want to leave!

The trip was really relaxing and laid back and by the end of the day I felt sooo chilled out. It was exactly what we were looking for, a chance to spend time together and enjoy great food and wine in a gorgeous setting.

Tom is a friendly guide who is obviously very passionate about what he does and seeks out the best places to bring guests. And he knows so much about wine and food! Highly recommended.

I am not the kind of person that usually takes guided tours, I like to travel independently and figure how to get there on my own. With that being said, this tour was over the top great. I did the wine tour that included meals and I honestly hadn't even looked at the itinerary, it just would get me to the wine region of Georgia and to a couple of wineries. We got to mee a qvevri maker and try wine and chacha is 3 different locations. If you get Vazha, you even get to experience a master toastmaster doing it the Georgian way. 100% recommend this tour group!

The best wine tour we have ever taken! The itinerary and pacing was perfect- the stops were beautiful, and excellent wines and delicious food seemed to be served non-stop. However, it was our guide Lika who made this day exceptional. It was so fun to spend the day with her tasting, eating, and talking about everything under the sun. In addition to being an engaging and knowledgeable guide and overall wonderful person, she was a great driver and a translator extraordinaire, smoothly switching between Georgian, Russian and English! Everyone should take this tour - it was one of the most enjoyable things we did in Georgia.

Tom curated an incredible day for my husband and I, tasting Georgian wines in the Kakheti region. Our guide Vazha was professional, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. In an 11 hour tour, we visited two family-owned wineries, the fortress and city walls in Sighnaghi, and the Bodbe monastery complex. The wines were excellent and we appreciated Toms expertise in the choice of wineries we visited! We’ve done other group tours in Georgia and we’re glad we went with a private tour for this one. Will recommend to our wine aficionado friends.

I visited Georgia for 2 weeks and don’t usually love to do tours as I prefer to travel independently. We didn’t want to worry about driving and drinking wine however, and when I read about their tours I thought the two day wine tasting in Khaketi looked perfect. Although the cost seems more than the typical day tours from Tbilisi, it is well worth the money as you have very intimate experiences with small wine makers (and big), have dinner in peoples homes, and have a great and informative driver with you the entire way. I cannot recommend this tour enough! We never would have been able to have these experiences if we had tried to go on our own or booked the cookie cutter tours from the city. Also, the amount of wine and food was beyond generous! We met a Quevri maker who shared his homemade wine with us, and had a lovely dinner with a toastmaster in his home! If you really want to experience Khaketi, use this company! Perfection!

Wow — where to start?! First of all, don't hesitate to book this tour with Eat This. Just do it. You won't regret it. We did the tour called: "Vines & Mountains – 1 Day Kakheti (Telavi) Food & Wine Tour (Meet The Wine Artisans!)" The entire group of participants was wonderful (we truly made new friends we hope to keep in touch with), our guide, Vazha, was fantastic, and all of the stops we made were special and memorable. Vazha gave us fantastic insight into Georgian culture, food, wine, politics, and more and served as an excellent translator for us wherever we went. A huge highlight was the incredible meal at Togonidze Winery, where we dined with the wine maker, were served amazing food by his wife (seriously, the best food we had in our entire 10 days in Georgia), and drank the best wine of our trip as well, in an absolutely artistic and divine setting. Everything was perfect, truly. We cannot thank you enough for this tour!

Already during my first stay in November 2021 I booked a 1-day tour to Kakheti (Telavi). This was already highly recommended.

So at the end of July, I also booked the next food and wine tour to Signaghi. I can only recommend this tour as well. I really like the fact that the groups are not so big. There is a lot of space to talk to each other and to the guide. Giorgi was a great guide who explained everything to us and also told us a lot about his childhood and life in Georgia.

The selected wineries were a good mix, the food was fantastic everywhere and with many new dishes that I didn't know before. Although I have already been living in Georgia since May.

From the communication, to the driver and guide, to the selected wineries and cultural parts - everything was perfect :)

If my time allows this autmn, I will definitely book another tour with Harvest.

Awesome! Very happy you had a great time, and enjoyed the culinary diversity that we always strive to offer. Every Georgian restaurant has Khachapuri, so we always make sure to offer some dishes that you wouldn't expect, as well as some of the classics that everyone wants. Thanks!
