We did an off-season four-day trek with Dimitri and it was fantastic. The trails were great, and we hiked near Tbilisi as well as in the mountains in Kazbegi. The weather was wild---some days it started off quite warm, and then we finished in the snows. Other days it was exactly the reverse. Dimitri organized great hikes, and he was very flexible to adjust the difficulty of the hikes to what a 64 year old, like me, could reasonably handle. Georgia is mountainous, and when there aren't mountains involved, there are hills! Be aware that there is lots of going up and going down. But the mountain paths were in good shape, and if you are in ok condition, then its a breaktaking experience. Dimitri is well-organized, intelligent and passionate. Visiting Georgia and seeing it through his eyes is a marvelous experience!

You can stop looking for trekking companies in Georgia and just book with TrekGeorgia. They are excellent, really really outstanding! Our vacation in Georgia was perfect, thanks in large part to TrekGeorgia. TrekGeorgia and especially our guide, Ditto, far exceeded our expectations. The company manager was also easy to communicate with and very responsive prior to the trek. Our guide Ditto was AMAZING and very customer service oriented - meaning he really went out of his way to ensure we were happy and was always going above and beyond what was required. We ended up doing two treks with TrekGeorgia - one small group trek (4 people) and one private trek. The first trek was a 6-day trip to Svaneti with a day for driving there and a day for driving back (nothing can be done about that, it’s a long drive from Tblisi). Ditto was both our driver and trekking guide. If you haven’t been to Georgia, you are in for a surprise in terms of how insane the driving is there. However, we never felt nervous with Ditto driving. He is a calm driver. We stopped at photographic and historic places and had lunch along the way with Ditto ordering a variety of Georgian food for us. During these treks, we quickly realized Ditto knows everyone in the mountains. During our private 4-day hike in Kazbegi, the guest house owner said he was like a son to her! One thing to note is that the TrekGeorgia guides are certified mountain guides, something that is not required in Georgia but very important. The family houses and guesthouses we stayed at during both treks provided insight into how people in these mountains live, with generous portions of traditional Georgian food served for breakfast and dinner. The lunches provided for our daily treks was more than we could ever eat! We are planning another trip to Georgia with our friends and will absolutely use TrekGeorgia. I cannot say enough good things about this company!

Dimitri has been an amazing host and guide. He is super reliable, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all your questions (even if some are silly). He is professional when he should and easy going when he can. He made our trip unforgettable and comfortable and he took super good care of us. He is great company and easy to be around.

The professionalism started before the trip. Dimitri, who was intouch on whatsapp, was very responsive and patient in advising which tour to suit our requirements. We are 2 people, and opted for the private tour. At the airport, Dito, our guide, received us, and was helpful in getting local sim cards, lunch and groceries on the way to Kazbegi. We did not use the guest houses, as we had already booked our hotels seperatly. However the treks, were well planned and accommodating to the our requirements, with good quality car to take us to and from. Dito was punctual and very professional. Going at our pace, and giving us space to explore. Trek Georgia, are a professional group, they delivered exactly what was stated in their sent itinerary hassle free. I highly recommend them.

Wow! What an amazing experience. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids (11&14 years). I was concerned about the hike lengths of the group hikes so Dimitri designed a private programme for us based in Kazbergi region. It was amazing. Dimitri supported us so well before we arrived in Georgia answering my many questions promptly. Our guide Laven met us at our hotel and looked after us for 3 days. We were based in one guesthouse for the duration which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We hiked different areas each day, the hike length was our choice with options to extend depending on how we were doing + dips in freezing cold mountain lakes (the kids loved) + views that blew my mind + good food + happy stiff legs + no devices all day for the kids = happy family 😁. Laven spoke perfect English and informed us about Georgian history, the geographies and the current situation in the country…questions we’d been burning to ask throughout our time in Georgia. The whole experience was excellent. I would fully recommend.
