At the entrance to the Old Tbilisi is situated monument dedicated to the ancient pagan festival of abundance and rebirth. Mummers dance depicted in costumes and masks of actors. This sculptural group Avtandil Monaselidze made in 1981 and is dedicated to the popular Georgian folk theater masks. Very cheerful sculpture. It should come with a camera, and shoot with dancing people.

The statue is located between the Nikoloz Baratashvili Bridge (love bridge) and liberty/freedom square, I recommend walking between them and enjoying the scenery, this Sculpture Group Berikaoba is a bronze statue of people dancing, a really joyful scene.

My next stop is the Dancing Statue on the Street. It's a unique and interactive piece of art that perfectly captures Tbilisi's spirit. Just keep your eyes peeled for a lively bronze statue on your way. You won't be able to resist dancing along with it! Free to visit. You may come across the statue while exploring through the town by walking.

Why can't US cities learn? There is lots to see in one statue. I don't know what it all means but I wanted to join the people dancing. Recommended sight for all tourists with cameras.

We arrived at this amazing monument after finishing our visit in the famous Marionettes clock tower. Very nice monument of a group of dancers / actors with funny masks "dancing in a circle" and look happy doing this. Check in the tourist guide revealed that this "dance" is a souvenir of Pagan Rituals from ancient times. This sculpture "invites" the photographer to an amazing photo Ops, and more important, TO JOIN the dancers. For photography enthusiasts, it is highly recommended to take pictures in daylight and at night. (U R invited to see the pictures I have attached).

That's a round statue with empty space. You can stand there and become a part of the sculpture. Got really fun photos from there!

This Group does not rime with true Georgian style sculptures, at least from my humble prospective, but it is in the Old Town area and is popular among tourists.

Our guide told us that this sculpture was originally inside the hotel right beside it and that they had to modify the entrance due to popular demand ; everyone wanted to see the sculpture !
