This amazing country has a hidden side and the best way to navigate your way is to book a walking tour and I highly recommend Tbilisi free walking tour .This tour will covers a lot and it’s the best way to learn more about the city and it’s history. This tour will make you fall in love with the place . You will be surprised how many wonders you will find here and they will guide you - beautiful old houses, colorful balconies, hidden cafes , street art and more. My tour guide Levan who is also a gifted photographer is just absolutely amazing. He combined professionalism with friendliness, smiling and listening as well as informing.

my mother and I were recently in lovely Tbilisi for a week and we did three tours with this company...the free walking tours of Old Town and the Hidden Tbilisi tours, and we also did the paid wine tour. all three were really great and worthwhile. Old town walking tour gave us a great overview of the city, a lot of history and gems and details that we definitely would not have noticed walking on our own. it was very interesting and informative. the Hidden Tbilisi tour gave us more insight into different architectural styles and the history behind them, cultural information and some lovely behind the scenes glimpses into daily Georgian life. the wine experience was super fun, delicious, and we learned a lot about the ancient and fabulous Georgian wine making techniques and culture. we met great fun fellow travelers on all three tours too.
our guide, Levan, was with us for all three tours. He knows the city inside and out , knows the best places to eat, drink, soak and explore, and is super friendly and available for questions , and really introduced us to Tbilisi and Georgia in a fun, informative way. I would highly recommend this company and Levan and will definitely connect with them for more tours when I go back to Georgia!

Our guide, Tamar, was extremely friendly and clearly loves her city. She kept the mood upbeat, despite the cold, windy day. As well as telling us lots of interesting things, she was very helpful in recommending me a place to do a meeting and she also helped me to book a restaurant for a very special date. Thank you Tamar!

The tour guide (Tamara) is passionate and friendly; however, the tour was very Eurocentric and reductionist. While I sympathize with the fact that Georgia is under constant threat of Russian aggression, the tour was overly simplistic; USSR bad, Western Europe good. Tamara failed to mention that Stalin was actually Georgian, which was likely a deliberate omission. She also failed to mention that a lot of the left-over Soviet artifacts have been taken down. The tour was flooded with a lot of rhetoric about the European influences in Georgia (i.e. German migrants, Italian architects, Polish builders, etc.), and minimal to no mention of the equally important influences of their Asian counterparts (i.e. Turks, Armenians, Muslims, etc). It was all very ‘pick me’. Tamara also made an inappropiate comment about how muslim tourists come to Tiblisi to gamble because their countries are ruled by “sharia law”- seemed like a redundant comment to make when you fail to mention that a whopping 10-11% of Georgia’s population are native muslims; you really start to wonder if it’s all on purpose to fit the narrative of how ‘European’, ‘civilized’ and ‘white’ Georgia is.

Highly recommend this tour. It was 3 hours long but the time went by quick. Nika had a great mixture of humor, history and details of typical Georgian life.

Nika was a wonderful resource on other things to do, places to see, foods to try, etc for the rest of your time in Tbilisi.

Meet at Pushkin Park across from Freedom Square at 12:00. The tour is free but the guide will ask for a tip at the end if you felt he did a good job. We felt Nika and the tour were well worth the tip we gave.

You do walk 4-5km so come prepared to walk and to be outside. Bring cash as the bathroom you stop at requires 1 lari. Additionally if you want to buy a pastry from the local bakery or give a tip you will need cash

We had a wonderful tour with our guide Nika on the Old Tblisi Tour. Nika was a friendly, professional and highly informative guide. We really enjoyed seeing the sights, sounds (and tastes) of this beautiful city. Highly recommended!

I have been on dozens of free walking tours around the world and have traveled to 134 countries— this was honestly the worst free walking tour I have ever experienced. Our guide, Levan, really didn’t act like he wanted to be there. He was very easily distracted with his phone ringing and dogs barking and often didn’t finish his stories because of these distractions. He spent 6 minutes complaining to the group about a client that just called him and wanted a tour the following day to somewhere they do not offer. Levan was also “training” another tour guide, who was much more excited and enthusiastic, however Levan always shot down his energy and also awkwardly corrected his facts every few words he would talk. We learned almost nothing in the 2.5 hour tour. Even in front of the oldest church in Tbilisi, Levan said he doesn’t know anything about religion and the only difference between Orthodox and Catholics is the way they cross their hands and stand— seriously?? We honestly couldn’t believe how bad it was. Maybe he was having a bad day, but this was our honest experience

Hello Jared I can understand you not satisfied with my tour, which is okay, but terrible? I think i don't deserve it! Also i think not everything true what you wrote, but it is your opinion and that fine. 1. Yes there was many street dogs and they was barking lot, what usually very distracting for the guide and what the guide can do? 2. Yes i got one call and sorry if i answered it and after just make some comment about it, little bit louder :) 3. It is very sad if you didn't learned anything on the tour because how i know, other people satisfied with tour, but that okay! 4. It is general tour of old town and not a religious tour, where they talk a lot about differences between religions and so on. I said im not very religious and I will talk about from point of history and just mentioned some differences... Next time if you have more questions about religion ask to the guide. 5. Yes there was guide and i trained him, by the way not only him, many others and his is better then me! Im happy with that to honest! I corrected him twice and i mentioned in the start of the tour, im going to do that on the way, it is a usually way how we do it with new guides! 6. I really sad you had a bad experience with me and thanks for honest feedback. It is always important to get feedback bad or good, which helps to improve things, but terrible to much i thin. Also we know, not everyone will like us or our tours. we just trying our best! Thanks and next time try other guide. Thanks for your feedback!

This tour guide is amazing. We went to the backstreets of Tbilisi tour and he gave us a detailed multi-cultural history filled overview of the interesting, but low-key part of the city. At the end he gave a whistling concert. Excellent English.

I would highly recommend booking a walking tour with these guys. Our guide for the Old Tbilisi Tour was Nika.
Despite the heat, which was exceptional today, Nika provided us with a great tour of the city which allowed us to understand some of the history, see parts of Tbilisi away from the main tourist areas and obtain some great recommendations of other places to visit.
I am looking forward now to the other tours that I have booked with this company.

I was in Tbilisi for 3 days in March 2020, so I was planning to make one tour per day (Main, Hidden and Backstreets). Luckily all these plans came true despite the bad weather and coronavirus situation! I've done many free tours before and my experience in Tbilisi with Eka and Levan was definitely one of the best.
If you have time, visit all their tours. If you have to choose, I recommend the Hidden one - you can find these beautiful entrances on your own but it becomes more special when you learn their history.

Guys, thanks a lot once again! Hugs from Moscow <3
