- Caroline BGreater London, United Kingdom3 contributionsGood baths but expect to be charged more than the price stated on the websiteThe room was spotless clean and the baths are really nice. I also really enjoyed the kisi, the lady was nice and professional. However I booked a room with sauna and was given one without a sauna, but still charged the same price. I was told the prices on the website were not up to date and that rooms with sauna were from 150 GEL (although the booking confirmation I received said 120 GEL). The kisi scrub was also charged 30 GEL instead of 10 GEL. In the end I should have paid 110 GEL according to the website but I was charged 150 GEL. So the baths are a good experience but I strongly suggest double checking when booking how much exactly you will be paying.Visited July 2022Written July 19, 2022
- Dr_Iris_BRamat Gan, Israel1,319 contributionsRelaxingAfter hearing so much about the wonders of the thermal waters we decided to try. We were told it might get quite busy so we went in and reserved a room for the next day. We got a private room for an hour. It has 2 small pools: one with the very warm thermal water and the other one had freezing water As the water is so warm you can’t really stay in for too long . The rate is 80GEL for 2 people for the private room for an hour which is more than enough We paid 2GEL per towel and also extra for soap and shampoo The place was very clean All together a very unique and relaxing experienceVisited January 2020Traveled as a coupleWritten January 11, 2020
- Majd SDubai, United Arab Emirates65 contributionsNice sulfur bath experience in TbilisiFriendly staff, clean room and baths. We had the room with 2 pools, one cold and one hot. We paid 100 GEL plus 20 GEL for the towel and soap which we found a little pricey.Visited July 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten July 16, 2021

We arrived here to reserve a spot right after a walking tour. It gets pretty packed, so the only available times were after 9pm, but that worked for us. The staff spoke English and after asking exactly the prices and what was included, they asked my name for the reservation. We had a private room with a hot sulfur bath and a cold bath + showers and a toilet. The place was nice and clean. We also asked for the scrub treatment for 20 Lari each and we really enjoyed it. They sent a male scrub master for my husband and a female for me, so we were both comfortable. Overall a very nice experience, and the 1 hour time slot was enough to enjoy the baths and the scrub. We were a bit skeptical from the mixed reviews that we saw online, but we quickly realized that some of them are definitely fake reviews. It was the perfect time to relax after a week hiking in the mountains!
Would recommend bringing in your own towels and slippers, since these are charged additionally.

i did not have a booking, since i was around the place, I thought let me have this Georgian experience. I approached the lady Infront the door with no smiles, 1 room available. the hot water bath tub didn't look very clean as the pictures show, i went in anyway - few minutes a lady came in - no smiles, speaks in action words plus "lady turn!!" "lady wash!!!" the scrubbing was very good tho and the experience.
will I do it again? not in Gulo's probably. Maybe in a more expensive spa where my skin and heart will be satiated by a gentle touch :-)
As a tourist, they can work with a little professionalism, smiles and learn few tourism tricks. Locals may find it okay to be shouted at, but not when I pay and leave without being contented with my money's worth
i rate a 2/5 for the experience

I would like to share a review about the unpleasant service that we received on the 13th of august. Our reservation was suppose to start at 7.30pm until 8.45pm and it should only cost us 100 lari based on the reservation and we also add scrub which is 10 lari/ person, all the appointment was made via Facebook. However, the receptionist that attended to us said they only have 120 lari/ hour room and basically told us to cancel and leave if we’re not happy with it without even wanting to look at our Facebook reservation. So we ended up paying 170 lari with 120 lari room, 20 lari scrub and 30 lari for towel and shampoo.
After recieve the treatment from the lady who scrub us, we hear from outside the lady shouting “5 mins left”, however we still have 20 mins more as the reservation timing. I’m utterly disappointed at the way she chased us out of the thermal room without wanting to hear our queries. Please do a better job training your receptionist because clearly she doesn’t know how to speak to her customers and there’s no clear communication within the company.

My wife and I reserved a private double room + a "Kisi scrub".
reservation was done easily through FB. The room was spacious and private, with 2 large baths - one hot sulfur water and the other cold. Loved the high domes ceiling and design. After about 20-25 minutes there was a knock on the door and a woman came in to give my wife a 5-minute scrub. After she left a young guy came in for my scrub. We then had the room to ourselves till the end of the hour.
Everything was private and respectable.

I have been to different thermal bath in Tbilisi but this one was the worst for sure and I will never come back again here again. We booked one hour Big room. The room and water were ok but we were only 5 minutes late in coming out of the room. They were keep banging the door, screaming constantly all for just 5 minutes. We were just changing our dress to come out. There were old man and woman at the reception and their behavior was not acceptable. We paid a lot but their customer service was terrible. This is not the place people feel relaxed and comfortable with having these people at service. So it was our fault that we didn't pay attention to some of the previous reviews about this place.

We rented the private spa room with a hold and cold pool, two showers, toilet, sauna and a private delegate changing room for 120 lari. You should definitely do the Georgian Kissa, which is like a peeling for 10 lari per person (takes ten minutes). It was also very clean there and the people could speak Russian and a bit english!

It was awful experience.
1. They said no place. But when i asked that even if I'm Georgian or Azeri? Then they said yes,we have place. 60 lari for 2 in a private room. 2 lari per towel, 15 lari for new scrubbing glove, 10lari for 5min scrub, 10 lari for 10min massage.
But what we got: all of them with different price, more expensive than they said before procedures. Even scrubbing was only 3min, massage by man for husband wasn't properly done and just 5-8min. Additionally, administration was calling on wrong time and screaming about time to leave room. When i said that we came later, so we still have time she just was screaming on her language. Never will go again there.

My husband and I made a reservation via Facebook for a room with a hot sulphur pool and a normal pool (cool) for 7:30pm. The reservation was confirmed and we were told to arrive ten minutes prior. When we arrived we were told there was no reservation, despite us showing the confirmation *while we were there, the exact same thing happened with two other groups of people*
They did happen to have a room available with just the hot sulphur pool which we took. It did have a shower however the cold water didn’t work for half the time (until the lady who did my scrub came in and fixed it). The scrub was relaxing and quite an interesting experience.

Some rooms must be nice, but ours was an old spa with broken tiles and pipes. They had a plastic bag over a pipe to contain a leak so that it would not spray water into the spa. The tile inside of the pool only covered half of the concrete wall. I got a scratch on my lower back from the wall while turning around in the water. The staff were friendly and speak enough English. In the end, I would recommend another place. Surprisingly, Orbeliani Baths was only 10 GEL more, but offered a much better experience!

Booked a private room for hot mineral bath and body scrub. Staff was nice and professional and managed fine without much English. Water itself is great and definitely very hot. Whole experience was unique and relaxing. Can imagine this is a real treat in the winter but recommend it even during the summer.

Can we(husband &I) take my 10 month old baby for a sulphur bath or do we need to take turns (one goes for bath and one stays outside to take care)?
Ps. We really don't want to miss this on our trip to Georgia in June.
