Been going to inya day spa for the past 8-9 years of being back in yangon.
It's one of the few places that offer a true "spa" experience with special attention to customer service and satisfaction.
Highly recommend the 30 mins. back and shoulders massage specially when your having a though day.

We both had foot/leg and back/shoulder massages, the two boys were very firm but it was good. The room was dimmed and it was so relaxing and very good value.

I headed to Inya Spa after reading many reviews on this site it is not easy to find up the hill past Inya lake but got there i hadn't made a reservation the receptionist wasn't the friendliest but they managed to fit me in for a foot massage and scrub. My feet were filthy and hot after a few hours at the Pagoda so was dying for some attention.
The massage itself was very good attentive staff, drink provided and done in beautiful surroundings.
Would recommend it came to 13000 kyats around $12, keep an eye on the exchange rate because i had to mention this to them.

I just came back from a trip to Yangon, which was awesone except for the aroma massage at this spa. Having read all the great reviews, I was looking forward to a great massage where I could relax after touring the city in the morning. I called in the morning to make a reservation for 4 p.m, for two people. When I arrived, I was told it was “full”. There were two other European ladies there, who apparantly had also made a reservation for 4 pm and was also told it was “full”. A few minulates later, a lady comes up to me and say I can have the massage if I don’t need to take a shower afterwards.
Because we made time for this massage, we said ok. We were led to a big room where the ladies had just turned on the lights. The place was smelly and hot. Then we were led to another room where we had the massage. That room was smelly too and the towels were smelly too. The aircon kept switching on and off, and it was a terrible experience to be in a smelly room, sweating and having an aroma massage. 90 mins in that room felt like a lifetime. I could not wait to finish, and many times kept telling myself to just walk out. My friend and I left the room feeling cheated and angry.
I saw an earlier review here about this being the moonsoon period and thus the reason for the smell. But because I read a reply by the owner saying it will not be an issue forward, I believed ithe issue was taken care of, and decided to go for the spa. I am still kicking myself for not just leaving when we were first taken to that room where I could smell the dampness. We paid US$95 for both of us, which compared to other countries might be cheap, But considering this is Yangon, it was a lot of money for a really bad experience. My time was wasted and my friend and I just felt cheated. We have been to many spas in Malaysia, Bali, Singapore and Bangkok, but this was one of the worst.
I am sending this review, because I don’t want others to have their beautiful trip in Yangon ruined by the experience at this spa. Perhaps it was a great spa before, but I won’t recommend it to my friends.

I would like to first apologize for the unsettling experience you had at the spa. I have spoken with my managers regarding your situation on the day you arrived at our spa. On that day we experienced especially heavy rainfall and frequent power outages, causing our safeguards & aircons to flip on and off. This would explain the inconsistent room temperature. Since our rooms are partly outdoors, when the rain comes we do have some issues with humidity. However, I'd like to say that this experience is not representative of Inya Day Spa's commitment to customer satisfaction and that we very much regret not resolving the issue when you were here at the spa. I was looking forward to a much needed cleansing facial, but unfortunately the Purity Facial I got at Inya Spa turned out to be rather useless. And I am not sure if it’s because the products just weren't right for me or because virtually no effort went into the process, but I'm leaning towards the latter.
The whole treatment consisted of simply smearing various creams on my face, 30 seconds of steam, 30 seconds of “massage”, and a half-an-hour mask that took another 10 minutes to remove and dried out my skin. When it started to sting, I got up to look for staff but they were nowhere to be found. The girl, nice and polite as she was, did not speak a word of English and seemed to have minimal experience.
Knowing what I can get for this price elsewhere in the region, I will not be coming back.

Thank you for providing feedback on your experience at Inya Day Spa. We are sorry that our Purity Facial did not meet your level of expectation. We do have a set procedure for our treatments which includes cleansing, scrubbing, spray moisturizing, steaming, cream and a mask. Though we rarely receive this type of feedback regarding our facials, we really appreciate hearing about your experience as it will help us learn and improve on our offerings.

Had booked 3 hour full Detoxification session for my wife and I. No welcome when we arrived and no information about set of treatment which we booked. Whilst therapist did a good job, we broke off the entire treatment mid way. Although the place was almost empty, staff simply forgot during "wrapping session" that we were lying in treatment room. Nobody ever checked on us and even yelling for help was ignored. Facilities very tired and in urgent need of repair. Place has serious management problem and could not care less about training staff or provide even the most basic customer service.

We apologize for not being on standby during your mask treatment as that was not standard operating procedure for such a treatment. We went back to this spa after we got bad services last two years ago and still the same.
I went for 90 mins Thai massage and the girl is just squeezing you and so much pain. After than that she is not bad and deliver 90 mins as they said.
My partner went for aroma the rap massage for 90 mins. This is worst one. They asked him to sit in steam room for 15 mins, ask him to wait for 15 mins. Then massage for 50 mins. Then they charge him for 90 mins. He is foreigner there. Come on you can't cheat him like that. We went together and he finish earlier me and wait for me 10 mins. The girl who massage him come & disturb our room to stop bcoz she finished.
Come on people you should deliver services as you charged. My partner was not impressed with your service second time.

We went there last dec because of trip advisor review.. For 1 hour massage, they did 45 minutes only.. They chatting all the time and not concentrate at all. They are seniors there and pushed me to buy package. We dont mind we plan to stay in Yangon for 4 weeks. They tried to short the service.. Won't be back again next year!!! Not recommanded at all!!!

This is a must to visit in Yangon. Good masseurs were professionally trained & very friendly. Location is convenient for tourists. Best smoothies in town in Yangon. With all those walkings & hikings in Myanmar, Inya is a place to pamper yourself with a relaxing environment.

Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to pay double the amount for a massage hoping to get a good massage at what is still a relatively cheap price 2 hours of Thai massage for $26--how could you go wrong--or so I thought. Well, the first lady was very inexperienced and hardly touched me or so it seemed. I called the manager and changed person and she was much better, but still about average and poor compared to Thailand. I could have been having a bad day, but another person who has taken the Thai courses also reflexed the same to me.
The good news is that it's still cheap and the smoothies were indeed terrific.
