These amazing buildings have seen a lot over the years, including colonial control, a Japanese invasion, military rule, and the struggle for peace. Visit to the red-brick Saint Mary’s Cathedral, built in 1899, with highlights including a bell tower and exquisite stained-glass windows. Tour ends.

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Bago. On the way, visit Htaukkyant War Cemetery, situated between Bago and Yangon. The cemetery contains graves of more than 27,000 allied soldiers. It is one of the most visited and high rated war sites of all Asia. Arrive to Bago, visit to Bago market to observe the local life with varieties of vegetables, flowers and commodity goods. Visit to Shwemadaw Pagoda, with 114 meters, the highest pagoda in the country and continue to the HinthaGon Pagoda, the place where Bago was founded.

Visit one of the world’s largest and finest reclining Buddha at Shwethalyaung and admire the pagoda’s impressive mosaic art. Continue to Maharzedi Pagoda with its impressive bell-shaped stupa. Return Yangon and transfer to your hotel.

Our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in the morning for the 1.5-hour drive along the Ayeyarwaddy River to Salay, stopping by the Chauk provincial markets on the way to browse souvenirs and see a piece of local culture.
A half hour later, arrive at Yokesone Monastery in Salay, located on the banks of the river. Known for its wood carvings that date back to 1882, the monastery is in the hometown of writer U Pone Nya, who lived in the 1800s during the time of Burmese kings. You'll visit his heritage museum to learn about his works.

Visit the Taungkalat Shrine, believed to be home to 37 spirit entities, statues of which can be found at the base. To reach the top, take off your shoes and socks and head up the 777 steps, perhaps passing by monkeys on the way.

Our guide will pick you up from the hotel with electric bike or normal bike and bike to the nearby small town of NYAUNG OO to visit the Local market. Continue to OLD BAGAN on historical roads shaded by magnificent trees. See the Shwe Zigon Pagoda built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine, Ku Byauk Gyi, a temple with superb murals of Jataka scenes, and Ananda Temple with four magnificent standing Buddha images. Bike to Myin Kabar Village where you have the possibility to visit one of the famous lacquerware craftsmen workshop and experience the bustling activities of the village.
