The shop conveniently located at ground floor near one of the entrances to Bogyoke market. We were just walking around and then saw this eye-catching embroidered throws that was different from all other souvenirs like lacquerware, bamboo... The shop owner was really friendly and enthusiastic. Price was fixed but also very reasonable. After buying at the shop and then wandering around the market we realized that Yoyamay has the most variety of this type of weaving products.

This small shop is a gem in the madness that is Bogyoke Aung San Market. Excellent selection of well made Chin style textiles. Friendly and not hard sell like the rest of the market. Very easy to find on the second floor of the Bogyoke Aung San Market. Best to go up the overpass staircase and access the second floor from there. Prices are on the high side, but still fair for the quality. There is a small selection of antique and vintage pieces as well; ask the owner to show you. These are very high priced; international level but very nice quality. Highly recommend.

I've been here several times over two trips to Yangon. Absolutely THE place to go if you're interested in Chin textiles and a unique gift or souvenir from Myanmar. The owner is very sweet, friendly, and helpful and happy to talk to you about all things Chin. Easy to find on the second floor of the Bogyoke Aung San Market. Huge selection in a small space. Prices very fair for the great quality. Owner's daughter runs a sister store a few shops down and that's also well worth checking out.
