We cruised on the Meltemi 50ft Catamaran with Captain Roland and his amazing crew. Chef Cailin who produced amazing meals and Zoly who looked after our very need. The islands were amazing, white sand beaches and aquamarine water. The snorkelling was excellent and we managed to catch Wahoo and traded squid and crabs off the local fishing boats which were... We spent a week exploring the Mergui Archipelago on the Mergui Princess. We left from Kawtaung and the itinerary and boat crew were fantastic. There were many different activities, from trekking, kayaking and snorkeling each day. As with most places in Myanmar, this is not a luxury trip, and I do not recommend this trip to anyone who can't roll... More

We spent six day (5 nights) in Raja Laut discovering the undiscovered Mergi Archipelago in the South of Myanmar. It was simply amazing and we loved it: a beautiful boat, all wood and quite spacious cabins (no airco in the cabin), a great crew, supreme food (thanks Ben, the great cook!) and lots of activities in the different desert islands... We had a week on board the Meta IV in late March 2016 and this was the best holiday we have had. The crew were fantastic and the islands were amazing. We spent a lot of time in the water snorkelling on some fabulous reefs - lots of fish and lots of healthy coral too. The trip was organised superbly... More

I was on the same trip as DeniseS, and I concur with her report. If the other guests had not been such good company then I would have tried to get the boat to take me back to Kawthaung after 2 days. I never really slept for the whole 5 nights. Our cabin was in front of the generator so,... More

Luxury air-conditioned cabins? The cabins were small and claustrophobic, the double beds (?) only comfortable for one and the air-conditioning was only on for a few hours at night (usually going off at 1 or 2am). The cabin with bunk beds was equally bad with the added problem of having the bump-bump-bump of the generator on the other side of... More

Booked a 4 day/3 night liveaboard excursion aboard Mergui Princess (merguiprincess.com). Boat had capacity for 16, but there was just myself and another couple supported by delightful 5 member Myanmar crew. Food, accommodations, information, locations and equipment were all excellent. Snorkeled twice a day; some spots were clearer than others, mixture of lively and very dead coral too. Saw range... More

We spent 2 days in the southern portion of the archipelago by taking two separate day-trips while staying in Ranong, Thailand. The tour was well organized and took care of the paperwork (crossing from Thailand to Myanmar and back) for us. The trip is about 1.5 hours by speedboat. On the 1st day, we visited Horse Shoe island, Tafook island... More
