We booked to do the canopy tree top tour and were picked up from the centre of Port Vila and driven to the site. The drive is an experience in itself. You’re in the back of a truck, on a wooden bench and being driven up the hillside to the start point of the canopy tour. Some of the views on the way up were breathtaking and gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the tour itself.
After disembarking from the truck we were given a full safety briefing and were then fitted with harnesses, helmets and gloves and advise to leave any bags etc in the lockers provided.
After a short walk, we reached the start of the tour which is a scaffold tower where we clipped on and then ascended to the top for the first of six zip lines. The first (as it turned out) was by far the shortest, but gave everyone a good practice run at how to start and stop. The remaining zip lines and the suspension bridge that we also had to cross, were a mix of great fun and exhilaration with some fantastic views along the way.
I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Vanuatu. It’s great fun.

We flew up to the Mountaintop in a helicopter before flying through the canopy on the zipline.

Staff ensured we were secured in our harnesses before a short walk through the jungle and a climb up to the start of the zipline.

The guides looked after us and made sure that we were safe.

The zipline was exhilarating and I highly recommend it. Though as there was a large group of people going through at the same time it did result in waiting for a while between the different sections - smaller group sizes would be nice.

Great fun on the zip line. Driven to the summit via 4WD with 4 of us in the back of the open truck. The road is rough and possibly one of the most uncomfortable trips I have ever had. The seats in the truck are wooden slabs that are not secure. If you are able to drive yourself to the summit you will get there in greater comfort than the truck.
The zip lines are fabulous fun and the 2 guys we had helping us, Daniel and Johnie, were wonderful and conscious of our safety at all times.
The owner Michael, saw us before we left town. The new suspension bridge at the summit opened today and he let us include the final zip line for no added charge.
All up a great experience and lots of fun. Would highly recommend this.

Thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed our new suspension bridge! The dirt roads here are not well maintained and can be rough when it rains. I will definitely get pads added to the bench seats. We have two other Toyota troop carriers which the guests sit comfortably inside but oddly enough most rave about the ability to sit open air. I guess its all a personal choice.

I was a bit nervous about doing ziplining as I hadn't done it before, and I'm getting on a bit, but wanted to do it with my partner who was very excited. Well it was amazing. We only had five people in our group, and after a chat with the owner (an Aussie guy), and instructions from the local "lads" we were off. Right at the start I was so nervous but knew I had to do it as once you are connected onto the zipline you are never unhooked until you finish, which is the safest you could ever be, which was reassuring for me. By the end of the experience I was having such a great time and loved it! It poured with rain but it just added to the experience. The boys were so much fun, because they felt so comfortable and relaxed, it put me at ease as well. I was still scared to death the whole time, but I felt looked after and safe. My partner loved it so much that he was ready to do it all over again! I loved the fact that they had local people taking you through the ziplines, and I loved it because they were having fun too!

Thank you Sheryl for the review and so glad that although you found it scary it was exhilarating too. Good for you for going out if your comfort zone and trying new things! Very brave. And yes the guides do enjoy their jobs and live in the moment which I love to see too.

Brilliant activity to do while in Vanuatu. My kids 8 and 12 went and had a ball, I watched from below and saw them on 3 out of the 6 zip lines. The views are spectacular!
A massive shout out to Daniel and the team, who talked my youngest into joining her sister and ensured that everyone, from the fearless to the nervous, had fun.
The whole operation is extremely well run and safety is a priority.

Picked up at our hotel by Michael the owner of the company. Very friendly and knowledgeable about Vanuatu. On arrival at the zip line we were greeted by really nice, friendly, professional staff. Everyone made you feel welcome and very safe with the whole experience. Walking through the jungle and reaching beautiful jump off spots. Great photo and video opportunities. Good clear instructions when going on the zip line. Thank you Michael and team for a fabulous experience.

This was a brilliant experience. Despite being terrified of heights, my two teens talked me into the experience. The guides were supportive and thoughtful and you can tell that safety is their number one priority. Everyone had a blast and it was a highlight of our trip to Vanuatu.

You are very welcome. Thank you for your review and as we are in the process of making it even more amazing you will have to come back to try out our new suspension bridge, We have more products planned for later this year too such as a Canopy walk and a night jungle walk.

I am terrified of heights but decided to give it a try. I believe I had to be pushed every time so I’d go, the staff are friendly and obviously enjoy their job. My only criticism is that the staff so muck around on the tour which sometimes made me even more scared. Also jumping and bouncing on the platforms could end up in disaster if someone dropped there camera as there is no way of getting it back. The views are great. Caution: on your trip back to town hold on tight as a drivers goes very fast and swings you around in the back of a 4wd so much so that you come put bruised and sore at the other end
