This was a beautiful place which is great for relaxing on the beach. Whilst the coral is not as spectacular as other places, the fish are plentiful and it's so easy to access for snorkelling.

When I heard about underwater post office I just wondering how dies it look like!! Fortunately, I had a great opportunity to visit Vanuatu and yes!!! I will not miss it even I can't swim!! But I did!!! It's an awesome spot and I enjoyed it. The most important things you must try to swim and snorkling slowly then you... More

My husband and I went to hideaway island just for a day and we loved the snorkeling! Make sure to take some shoes to wear in the water though as there are so many shells and coral! I was a little disappointed as when we spoke with a local she had mentioned there was an under water post on the... More

I have read many reviews slamming hideaway island based on people's snorkelling experiences and pricing, however my partner and I had a wonderful time. With a small boat ride across to the island you step foot onto a beautiful white sandy island. There is an entrance fee of 1250VT (approx $15) to get into the island however after spending many... You travel on a cute bobbing ferry to the island. Even walking along the long jetty of the Hideaway island feels surreal in another world already. The bar service is always good too. We all loved the underwater post office for fun and the fish coming up to the snorkels too. Water clean on beach and good toilet facilities with... More

I always visit Hideaway each time I visit Vanuatu and am never disappointed. The water is beautifully clear and you couldn't possibly try and guess the number of fish that are there. Great little restaurant and they do scuba dives if that's your liking. I was stunned that so few of the passengers off the numerous cruises now calling at... More

We took a local bus from Port Vila up to the Hideaway. It was easy to do, and fair price (300 Vatu). Hideaway is a cute little island about 1 minute boat ride away. We brought our own snorkel & mask, and bought a post card from the gift shop (400 Vatu). There's a good amount of fish around, though... More

We went on a day tour here, which included transfers from our hotel, lunch, a glass bottom boat tour and snorkelling safari. It was approx. $85pp Australian and worth it! The snorkelling was amazing, so many beautiful fish, felt like we were swimming in an aquarium. The lunch was beautiful and there was also a bar to buy drinks from.... More

Nice trip to hideaway island with a stop first at the beach bar on the mainland for an affordable lunch. Free ferry over was nice touch and reasonable price to get on island and hire some masks. Hair braiding not happening when we were there which was a shame and pretty low key/relaxed experience over all but we enjoyed that.... More
