We too tour with a local company, who took us to the cultural village where we saw Fire walking, then on the several other interesting places such as the blue lagoon and the Turtle sanctuary.

The tour was guided by driver Jeremy who knew the area and its history (WW2) fairly well .The first Blue Hole (Matevulu) was big but there was a lot of mosquitos around so we did not stay long.Champagne Beach was the next stop, and the swimming time,it is really beautiful when you have a clear blue sky above and the sea the colour of turquoise and of course the swimming is safe. Also on the beach there is an eatery and bar plus locals selling their wares.Port Olry was the next stop for lunch, the restaurant Chez Louie is best to avoided."jackies" blue hole is a must to swim in do not go past you will be blown away by the place, there is also a cafe on site.…

I joined the tour with other 4 female traveler from New Caledonia, it was so fun. And the guide (Basil and Maxim) was excellent. The food provided also good enough. Picked up ontime from the hotel, fast and safe driving to and from destination.

We visited Vila in February 2020. I thought I would try to arrange a day trip off the cruise ship, as shore tours through the cruise can be very expensive, especially for 2 adults and a 2 yr old. Started searching online and came across Alfred and Atmosphere Tours. From the moment I first contacted Alfred he was amazing. Very informative, and happy for me to ask a million questions. I ended up posting on our cruise forum and found another 20 people who wanted to do the day trip as well. Alfred was able to accommodate all of us. We set off in two air conditioned vans for the day. We visited the amazing Blue Lagoon, swan with the turtles, had a fantastic BBQ lunch on the beach, then a swim in the cascades and off to duty free shopping at the end of the day. As luck would have it our cruise was stopped overnight in Vila, due to a cyclone near one of our ports. At the end of our day Alfred offered if anyone would like to join him the following day to go and visit his local village, a kindergarden, Honeymoon beach and the markets he would happily show us around the less tourist populate sites. Another eye opening amazing experience, which I think warmed our hearts and will stay with us for a long time. We cannot thank Alfred and Dimitri (our driver) enough for our two amazing days. I have been to Vila before but never like this. The information about the local areas, and ways of life, your respect for family and community spirit really shone through. You are a true asset to your island. Could not come more highly recommended. Thank you!…

I did not only do this day trip with atmosphere but also booked their airport transfers in- and outbound as well. Every single time the pick-up was on time with the guides/drivers being cheerful and friendly. The contact worked through mail and I found the handling very professionel and reliable (something I did not experience with another operator). The tour around the island was insightful (especially visiting the village where traditions were explained) and fun (Blue Lagoon). The included lunch was a nice break by a beautiful beach and coffee was served in the afternoon at the beach where the tv series survivor was filmed. At the end we came to a viewpoint overlooking Port Vila & Hideaway island. Altogether it was good value for money and a pleasant experience!…
