From the very first enquiry Palau Dives Adventures we’re great. Grace responded very quickly and efficiently to my e mails giving clear answers to my questions. They met me at the airport at 2.30 am ( there are no taxis so this is essential ) and took me to my hotel. I dived with PDA for 5 days, each day we were just a small group of 4 or 5 divers accompanied by 2 guides, Chris as head guide was very knowledgeable and safety conscious, backed up by Alan who followed at the rear. Boat captain ‘Arson’ is amazing knowing the whole are like the back of his hand. There is a wide selection of bento boxes for lunch on the boat, fruit as a snack, towels and wind jackets were also given out for use on the boat. Jamie collected us every morning for the hotel, as well as the dive centre he also has hire cars should you wish to explore on non dive days, which I did. But what I really have to highlight is that Arson and Chris got us to,the dive sites before everyone else by setting off that bit earlier. We had the German channel to ourselves, yes two divers and Chris, plus 4 mantas and a few white tips, as we surfaced 7 other boats were just arriving. As a dive professional myself I cannot recommend Palau Dive Adventures more highly.

This was the most amazing dive trip! Not only was the diving phenomenal but the Dive Company Palau Dive Adventures too concierge diving to a new high. Our group has been diving to amazing places around the world like the Maldives, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Galapagos, Philippines and more but have never had concierge diving like this. We never had to touch our gear the entire week ( unless you wanted to). Tanks were taken from us in the water and put on us before each dive. Gear was rinsed and dried each night and back in your spot each morning.
The dive guide was phenomenal! He was very attentive to anyone that needed anything but continually pointing out amazing things that we may have missed. He was great in that he subtly helped those that needed it without making them feel awkward and allowing the rest of us to enjoy a great dive. One of our divers is less experienced and struggled clearing her ears and with the current but the dive guide became her buddy and got her down and comfortable so that she was confident and could enjoy these amazing sirs while not affecting the dive fir the rest of us and that is something VERY difficult to do to keep the whole group happy. These dive operators have to be great at reading the weather, the current conditions and visibility with the strength of the dive group. The merging currents bring in the plankton that bring in tons of manta rays, eagle rays and sharks but also lower the visibility and increase current strength. The five guides prepared us in the briefing for what we might encounter and how to handle it so that no one panicked and all enjoyed phenomenal dives. On the dives we used reef hook to stay in one spot and observe the shafts and fish feeding in the currents, our dive guide was able to get to each of us and ensure we were hooked properly and in most cases did it for us do that no one damaged any coral. Our boat driver was great about keeping the ride as smooth as possible and because we had rain every day on the return trip, we had towels, rain jackets and hot tea/coffee doing everything they could to make us as comfortable as they could. Weather is nothing they can control so suck it up if you want to experience these amazing sites.
We will definitely be going back to this amazing place and won’t consider diving with anyone but Palau Dive Adventures!! From the reservations team to our driver for any land excursion to the boat crew nothing but 10s!!

If you are wanting to dive in Palau, check out Palau dive adventures first. It is a one stop shop. When they advertise valet- they mean valet!! One call and you will have lodging, transportation, and any excursions taken care of for you. Pack light, they even offer laundry services.
Now about diving. There are no words to describe this experience. The dive masters and captain are brilliant. They know where and when to go to all the top dive sights, they know just how to make you feel comfortable and attend to your every need. I felt we payed a typical price per day but got a royal experience rarely experienced by those of us regular people. We were originally booked on a live aboard which got cancelled. I am so glad it did. My skills are quite different from my husband's and I was planning on just a few of the easier dives while he would go full throttle. I ended up diving 9 days with 27 dives including one night dive. The diving was amazing and between dives, the crew shared their life stories which gave us an authentic personal experience of Palauan culture. Myles shared some underwater pictures he took and made us a video complete with music. It really was beyond special. I suggested he charge a fee for his incredible talent and he just smiled and said he was happy to do it. I can not recommend or say enough about the entire staff at Palau Dive Adventures except call them today. This was a trip of a lifetime!!!!! .....Sara

Outstanding! Our group of 12 just finished 10 consecutive days of diving, and Palau Dive Adventures was absolutely fantastic. They were very quick to learn the names of each person in our group and each of our dive gear. Our gear was set up properly when we arrived each morning and they were quick to change our tanks after a dive. Each day they met us as we approached the dock and carried cameras and our bags. They quickly identified my wife and I as less experienced divers and one of the dive masters, Wally, basically became our personal guide. All of the dive masters and boat captains were outstanding and left us wanting for nothing. They were incredibly attentive to dive briefings, care of equipment, and monitoring everyone in our group. Palau Dive Adventures is a first-class dive operation who we will return to without hesitation.

This is the best diving operation I have ever used. I recently returned from 10 days of diving with a group of 12 people. Jason and the rest of his crew, Arson, Chris, Myles, Wally, and Jayven were top notch. They waited on us hand and foot and made me feel like royalty. They are great genuine people who truly care about their customers happiness. Every day our gear was clean and set up, and they made sure we had everything we needed on the boat.
Underwater they were top notch dive guides. They were extremely knowledgeable about the dive sites and the currents. The briefings were very detailed and accurate about the topography and currents. We were a pretty experienced group and they quickly identified the weakest divers to provide them extra attention, and left the rest of alone to dive and take pictures while keeping an eye on us.
The concierge service was also top notch. Cheryl was waiting to pick us up from the airport, and drove us to and fro the boat dock from our hotel every day. If we wanted dinner as a group, Cheryl made reservations for our group and arranged all of our transportation, which was usually her picking us up and dropping us off. Cheryl also handled any swag we wanted. If we had laundry Cheryl took it and returned it to us that evening clean and folded.
I cannot recommend this operation enough, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the entire experience, and I can't wait to go back and hang out with these folks again.

I dived 3 full day and did a Rock Island snorkeling tour with the company. Actually my package was booked back in 2020 before the pandemic. The company was very responsive when it was clear there was no way for me to travel to Palau and made sure my deposit was safe with them and I could claim my rights whenever I got to visit Palau. They returned me the difference of the tour I eventually did and the one I originally booked. Not only the booking office of the company is helpful, responsive and professional, the diving crew was top tier as well. Captain Arson is an almost 30 years veteran so he knows the ocean too well, we got to enjoy the most of the dives because of his experiences, like we literally arrived when the currents at the German Channel stop but mantas were still around. Diving guides Chris and Miyles are so professional, we never needed to worry about anything on the boat. They took care of all the gears, tools, food, and briefings of the dives. And I like it the most that they really enjoyed their work. You can feel how happy they were to dive with clients and admire the beauty underwater, even they have done it a thousand times. I didn’t get the chance to dive with other diving shops in Palau, but other guests on the same boat did, and they told me the company delivered the best service and vibes. I strongly recommend to dive or snorkel with this company. I have been to many diving places around the world, but few diving shops ever delivered similar quality of service! Thanks again for all the cares from the crew, Grace, Cheryl, Arson, Chris, Miyles and Javen!

Review for Palau Dive Adventures
This was one of the most attentive dive companies I’ve ever used. The service was friendly and first class. There were a great variety of unique and spectacular dive sites, which probably all of the companies go to. The guides knew every inch of them. Cheryl acted like a concierge and facilitator for our whole vacation and drove us to and from our required Covid tests, and also to an unrelated kayak excursion, as well as to and from the airport. Our hotel had a dock and each day the boat came on time or early, and picked us up directly from our hotel, and returned us there at the end of the day. On the boat they set up all the tanks and you didn’t have to lift a finger. The boat captain Arsen knew the islands and surrounding seas, for miles, like the back of his hand. Literally with no map or GPS he could put the boat on a tiny dive site in the middle of the open ocean. No searching around. On one day after diving in the morning, the boat took us to the island of Peleliu where we did a 3-4 hr WWII land tour and the boat waited for us and took us back.
The guides Chris and Wally were very safety conscious. For example at one point I was slightly under weighted and he noticed and gave me a extra weight which he was carrying, while on a drift dive. They provided a bento box lunch every day from a local restaurant which was pretty good, although for 5 days of diving it might have been nice to mix it up a bit and get the lunch from a different place 1-2 days. (Picky point). They provided jackets in case you got cold and hot tea or coffee and snacks. At the end of the week they held on to my BCD, cleaned and dried it and delivered it to our hotel, ready to be packed in a suitcase for the trip home. We would highly recommend this company.

Jay,
Thank you so much for diving with us and writing such a detailed and lengthy review. :)
Picky points are good for us and offering more lunch options is something we will look into. We used to not have jackets on the boat for our guests and one guest stated we should and we implemented that a few years ago. So thanks for the input!

Four of us from Guam booked with PDA because of all the high ratings, but almost no one in our diving community in nearby Guam had heard of them; so, we wondered how they’d be. Turned out they’re absolutely amazing. None of us have been better cared for, guided, or entertained by a dive company. They’re a small company with two well-designed, Palau-built dive boats (36ft and 29ft), a thoroughly expert crew from the region (Palauan, Yapese, and Filipino-Palauan), with thousands of hours of diving experience and a genuine love for the islands, the history, the legends, and the natural environment. Cheryl managed an array of special requests, from taking us to get COVID tests, to making dinner reservations, to accommodating last minute things (extra night dive, trip to the storyboard wood carving studio, the ATM). Our group of four shared the boat with two divers each traveling solo from California and Taiwan, who joined us in adding on extra days; we all became great buddies, which really enhanced the whole experience. All by itself Palau is stunning; PDA added a layer of luxury, expertise and fun that made this one of the best trips we’ve ever made.

I've visited Palau in Feb 2023 and joined 8-day diving tour with Palau Dive Adventures (PDA). I was totally amazed by Palau beautiful scenery, stunning underwater world and the best attentive, responsible and professional service provided by PDA. Grace provided all the necessary information for my trip planning, Jaime arranged everything we needed during our stay, Chris and crew members gave us professional and attentive assistance and guidance and Jason gave us warm-hearted assistance and accompanied my daughter to clinic. Therefore, I strongly recommend PDA to those who wants to have a carefree holiday in Palau and appreciate PDA for everything. Wishing all the best to PDA.

Before you finish reading this, reach out and book with PDA! You will not be disappointed.
I truly had one of the *best* weeks of my life with this bad ass delightful magical crew. I traveled to Palau for a few weeks as a solo woman which is always its own type of experience. With so much magic in Palau you’d think it would be hard to think of anything as stand out, but my time with PDA was truly miraculous. Cheryl also just goes above and beyond with coordinating and driving. Truly the whole team is a gem!
From the delicious food to the stories to watching miyles free dive to soaking in arsons stories to Chris overseeing the whole dive with a thoughtful and considerate eye — there’s nothing like it.
I did dive with other shops and trust me there was a difference. Everyone is great on the island but PDA is magical. You won’t regret it!
Guys, please forgive me for how long this review took to write! Thanks for all you taught me and all the adventure you gifted me. I’ll be back, with friends next — though I made friends aplenty on the sea!

Hola, no hablan español, sólo inglés.

Hi PDA, i'm trying to arrange the time to come to Palau maybe even as soon as next month (May or June '17). Read all about your operation and it seems fantastic for me.
Two questions:
1) I will be coming on this trip solo... I assume most people come as a couple. Is it easy for you to handle me as a solo diver in the group? Is this uncommon at PDA?
2) Do you offer Nitrox training? Never done it but would like to learn.
Thank you!

Hi Josh!
Thank you for your email to us (PDA). I run PDA reservations in North America and you can always call me if you like at 310-321-2558. Sometimes this is more personal and I can help more this way. To answer your questions now.
1. Many people do come to Palau as couples, but, actually for some reason at PDA we get lots of solo divers, pretty much every week we get a couple solo divers. Our guests are always friendly and we have a great crew that will always be there for you, so you will never be alone, especially underwater.
2. We do offer a PADI nitrox certification. It can be done online and then once your in Palau, our instructor will do the final hands on portion. We can have you diving on day #1 with us :)
Hope this helps! And we look forward to having you as one of our guests in the near future.
Kindest regards,

I see from previous ? that it is less expensive to do a hotel as opposed to live aboard. Could you rate the quality of hotels available? Also could I get an idea for a price for a package for a 2 week stay? 12 to 15 dives.

Jeff,
What Camervp and Geoff said are correct. Palau Pacific Resort is the best resort on the island. We have packages there for 7 nights and 5 days diving with us us for around $2,400 for 2016, 2017 will be a slight increase. Just fill out our "Luxury" package inquiry form and we will get back to you with all the details. Thanks again CamerVP and Geoff! Appreciate your responses here, sorry did not see this sooner.

Hi. Yes you can freedive the dive sites. Long fins are not rented on the island, but, there are shops you can buy them from or you could ship them to us ahead of time and your fins will be waiting for you when you arrive in Palau. Hope this helps!

We were there for the diving, but a lot of the sites would be fantastic for freediving as well. You should contact Chris Lubba directly and he can give you the rundown on freediving options. Call or text him at 310 321 2558
