Beautiful sunset

It is shallow shore. I am not sure if life-guards are there. It is beautiful especially sunset, worth staying there. Many restaurants are available along the coast.

P & O visit Nouméa on Mondays, arriving at 3-4pm. Nouméa is basically CLOSED on Mondays,as the locals work Tues-Sun.Those shops that ARE open, close at 5pm,50mins after we arrived.Lemon Bay is supposed to be THE beach for swimming, but was half blocked off,& beach is crushed coral & shells, so reef shoes a must. Locals are quite rude, once they see you're tourists.I... More

nice beach but close quarters with others. Looks like a great place to go for a swim but probably not the best for snorkelling.

It's a small beach, fronted by dozens of cafes, bars etc. not ideal for spending day, just for short swim. Always seemed to be roped off areas and maintenance going on along foreshore during our week visit. Not a patch on Anse Varta!!

This beach has a lot going for it. Close to the city with easy bus access., Water crystal clear. Waves gentle. Nice grassy areas with trees for shade if you are looking for that. Restaurants across the street. can't wait to return.

This beach all but disappears at high tide. It is currently under drainage work so there is a big boom in the bay which ruins the view. Once the drainage work is done, it is a decent beach but I'd go to Anse Vata instead.

The beach is sheltered from the winds so is calm, clean & safe for swimming/families. Sunsets were incredible from here!

A great cove with a sandy beach located not far from the city. Facilities include chairs and benches at no cost located along the stretch with toilet and shower facilities at the Northern end. A good choice of eateries just across the road from the beach. A special mention would be deserved by Les 3 Brasseurs who has their own... More

A good beach for swimming, most of the time it is more protected from the wind than other beaches especially Anse Vata. Easy access to the water and grassed areas with timber seats to sit on also, full time life guards on duty here. Cross the road for a beer, ice cream or have lunch in one of the Cafe's.... More
