'We arrived out at this Island around 1.30pm and we were hungry for lunch. The only thing on offer at the L'escapades Resort was a buffet lunch which was quite expensive. They redirected us to the casual lunchbar along the beach. We found the little hut and a very cool women served me a really good poisson cru salad and... More

Only 15 minutes on a Water Taxi to this lovely quiet spot. Snorkeling side of island had lots of trees to sit under and plenty of sand to sit on. There were a few rocks to step over to get into the water but no big deal. Beautiful clear water. We swam out about 40 meters over the shallow part... More

Always wanted to stay in an overwater bungalow. Finally had my chance when planning this holiday. Needed 3 bungalows (thanks to Jeremie JEZEQUEL at LA City travel in Sydney) he secured the 3 bungalows. They are absolute quality from the bathroom to the lounge area to the super comfortable beds. TIP: ask the staff to raise the ladder to the... More

This is a lovely place to go for a day trip. I would have loved to stay in one of the over water huts, but unfortunately they are a bit too expensive so I made it a day trip instead. The taxi boat costs about $31AUD return. (The yellow boat closer to the hotels is more expensive, walk up about... More

My sons aged 14 and 18 years really enjoyed what was on offer here. It is not that far from Anse Vata and 2800 xpf for water taxi, but in our opinion it is much better than Canards or duck island, with so much more on offer. If you don't worry about the cost (ouch) stand up paddleboards were enjoyed... More

Just a short ride away in the water taxi. Beautiful beach with lots of turtles. A very relaxing way to spend a few hours in the sun. The fish are not as plentiful as Duck island but the walk into the water is sandy - would recommend visiting in high tide or thereabouts.

This is one of the most picturesque locations providing the weather is good. A short boat ride or sail to the island and there are some amazing sights.

One of the best spots in New Caledonia for kite surfers. Shallow waters, secured by lagoon reef. Good kite school for learning. Beautiful resort on the island, swimming pool, restaurant and bar, there. Can get there via Taxi boats departing from the Anse Vata beach. Just 15-20 mn to go.

We stayed on this island for a couple of nights and it was great to experience the overwater bungalows, however we did find the beaches a bit of a let down. On one side it's full of seaweed so it's not very pleasant to swim and then the other side which hosts the Resort and accommodation had a very rocky... More

We went there yesterday for a day visit. The water taxi from our hotel was 2800 francs per person and the trip only took around 10-15 minutes. The boat ride get a little choppy. We arrived on the island to what I call the Noumea Bora Bora because the first thing that you see are the over water bungalows from... More
