I feel it’s a bit overrated and quite crowded. The self- guided tour is exactly that and zero additional information is provided. They could make this a lot better. The basement was closed which seemed to upset a lot of people.

I stayed a night in Sallie House with my husband. We had typical ghost hunting gear with us... digital recorders, cameras, EMF detector. Not much happened at first and I thought maybe it would turn out to be a wasted trip, and all the lore surrounding the house was just hype. Well, that soon changed. I won't go into the details of what happened, but I will say that whatever is inside Sallie House seemed to like my husband, but me? Not so much. And I wonder if its because during one of our initial recordings, I took a little bit of an aggressive tone. I'm not sure if it was me being annoyed that nothing was happening, or if it was a demon trying to possess my body. I am assuming the first, but, I like to stay open-minded. If you're into the paranormal, stay at Sallie House. Its worth it for the history alone - and more than likely, you will end up having strange experiences when you least expect it. The only downside of staying there is sleeping on the floor - gross. Why not turn it into a proper overnight stay? Also, we had several people come up to the house to try and get a look in while we were there. Awkward. We also had a little trouble with the reservation when booking, however, when we did manage to hook up with the tour guide, she was great.

We didn’t go inside as it wasn’t open. I’m not all that superstitious, but to look at, it kinda gives one the creeps. We just drove by and did a quick check

Overpriced location and there’s no way you can get “class A EVP’s” in the house that is surrounded by other houses close by and street noise all around. You could rent this house for a month for the price that they charge for “overnights.” If you are just visiting for fun, then it’s a great place to check out but there is no way that you can collect uncontaminated evidence from this location. It’s fun to check out but not worth overnight prices. If you check it out for paranormal purposes, it’s not good for more than 3 people because you can hear everything from every room in the house and you will hear all of the street and neighborhood noise.
