We recently did the track for a second time with our friends at Free Spirit Adventures. We have now done it in both directions - and I prefer starting at Kokoda and walking to Ower's Corner myself. Either way it is tough going but worth every bead of sweat. Fortunately, the great training we had with FSA beforehand prepared us... More

Awesome trek.. Amazing scenery and unforgettable experience with Charlie Lynn.. Seven day trek with adventure kokoda tours and one that was life changing... Papua new Guinea has such diverse environments and the villagers we met were so welcoming and the kids were amazing.. Day 5 was challenging.. The emotions went up and down like the mountains we climbed... The climbs... More

We expected it to be hard and it certainly was. A great experience made possible by Charlie and the very experienced team he has in place. An amazing trail full of history and local culture across rugged ranges and through fantastic rainforest and mountain villages. On treks like this the test is invariably how the reactions when things go wrong...in... More

It's going to be difficult to top this experience in my lifetime. Although walking the track was tough, it was completely worth it and I would recommend it to everyone, especially Australians. Words will never be able to do justice to this trip. It was 8 days of solid trekking, most of which was up very steep hills but even... More

Words will never do justice to the experience we had with Nikki and Adventure Kokoda. Nikki specialises in smaller (10-15 trekkers) groups and our group of close friends certainly had the trip of a lifetime. Nikki is a walking, talking wartime historian, health advisor, friend and beautiful soul. The combination of her many years on The Track along with the... More

I have just completed an amazing trek of Kokoda with Escape Trekking Adventures - a highly professional group. The owners of ETA - Shane and Tina were readily available to assist with questions before I left and their training plan ensured I was thoroughly prepared. While on the Kokoda Track, our trek leader Vanessa was excellent with strong knowledge of... More

I completed the Kokoda Trail with Adventure Kokoda in August 2016. The group was led by Dave Sherry, a true professional who led our party over eight days with a great deal of care, attention and selfless investment into our enjoyment of the experience. He shared poetry, informative battle site briefings, managed the PNG boys with a great deal of... More

Completed the Kokoda Track in August 2016 with Escape Trekking Adventures. They were a fantastic company to trek with. Every detail was looked after and the Trek guides and porters were very knowledgeable. One of our group got pretty ill one day and the guys looked after him brilliantly. The food was amazing, pizzas, pancakes, pastas, donughts and cakes! I... More

Just completed the trail on the 26th August 2016, I can highly recommend Adventure Kokoda as a trekking company, they were well organised, fed us well & we felt safe. The trek guides Reg Yates & Peter Morrison were very knowledgeable & all of the carriers were wonderful and very caring. Adventure Kokoda pay their carriers well, provide them with... More

Loved doing the Kokoda trail with Adventure Kokoda. When things happened (someone had to be evacuated, landslide) they were absolutely professional. They support great nonprofit enterprises helping villagers along the Trail, pay their dues to care for the trail and enforce maximum weight limits for porters. Our leader, Dave, led a dawn service at the Isurava Memorial that was really... More
