Not too much to see here but not bad, and interesting to learn about the history of the place. It's not comparable to tourist attractions of countries that are set up for tourism, so it wouldn't be fair to have too high expectations.

As a young nation it is encouraging to see Suriname building its museums and leveraging its Past. Good visit to the Precolumbian wing and interesting dioramas by a local artist from the 1800s.

Fort Zeelandia has much from the history to show u. After u finish the fort from inside , u should go to the backside of the fort and take some fresh air and watch the waves the river.

It's a small, rather cute European style fort. No interiors left. All signs are in Dutch, so I believe the visit will be more interesting if you speak Dutch or visit with a guide. I only went there as there is not much else to...More
