although the building is only some 15 years it seems to be in desperate need of repair. Also why did they not construct a 2 lane bridge in both directions. always congested.

Yes, this is just a bridge, but it us more stylush than many others. Its jot a tourust attraction, but it does provide a more interesting back drop to photos than most other bridges and give a good perspective of the City.

Beautiful land scape and lots of water birds to photo. Bring your camera and lots of batteries, you wont stop clicking.

When crossing this bridge of almost 1 km you get a great view of the Suriname river, the bends it makes. You also get a very nice view op Paramaribo City, at day and night the view is worth seeing.

The bridge connects two districts of Suriname with each other. Can be busy and slow due to the amount of traffic during rush hour. Drive over the bridge in the evening. You'll be rewarded with an awesome view.

Yep, it is just a bridge. But quite an impressive one. I wouldn't call it a tourist attraction, but to us (working in construction) it is an interesting "item", as well as a great view from the top (four stars for it! :) )

The Dutch built Jules Wijdenbosch Bridge named after then Suriname's president, when it opened in the year 2000, can be seen from various places in Paramaribo: from the Waterkant, from near the Central Market or from Fort Zeelandia. How this over 1500m long two lane...More

This is the bridge that connects the city center with the neighboring province. It is very busy during morning and evening commutes. You can go under the bridge and see fishermen, or near the taxi ranks for traveling to other areas.

I dont understand why this is seen as a tourist attraction. There are far more nicer things to visit in Surinam.
