Me and the wife nipped in for a look at the newly painted Panteon. I found this place suprisingly moving.

Usually well worth a visit .A good guide to Paraguayan history . But now closed for repairs , badly needed , and this will continue to the end of the year or later .

I didn't walk in, but it looks from outside a beautiful architecture and it is under reconstruction. The military and Patriots heroes are resting in this place and it is located across Lido Bar the best restaurant in Asunción

Great place to visit with some local guideat daytime, the ashes of some paraguayan historical figures are held inside. At night enjoy the view eating at "Lido Bar"

Things are still pretty much the same as previous reviewers stated and it doesn't look like it will be completed anytime soon. The surrounding streets offer some shopping stalls.

It's behind an 8 foot tall fence all around, so there is no access and not much to see except the roof of the building. And there is no ETA on when it's going to be done.

If you enjoy culture, history and architecture this a must see. Very beautiful building and you can learn some very interesting facts about Paraguay and those who lived to protect it.

In September 2015 the entire structure is blocked off by 15 foot or so high fence. You can see the upper portions of the building, but that is it. I am very disappointed I didn't get to visit.

This is a very special monument in Paraguay. Right on the main street in Asuncion. It is well maintained and beloved by the Paraguayans. It is a tomb and not much more but you feel the solemnity of this place.
