The City Hall with its tower, spire, turrets, columns is a fanciful piece of gothic architecture and definitely one of the most attractive buildings in Georgetown. Unfortunately it is also in a state of disrepair and apparently closed. Although included in the tentative list of...More

This beautiful old building and landmark is in a terrible condition. It should be repaired before it collapses and is lost forever. Georgetown does not have innumerable notable sights - St George's Cathedral (also in a state of decay), the Queen Victoria Law Courts, Parliament...More

This is a wonderful building in desperate need of repair. Help is at hand from the EU (British Brexiteers take note!). The windows, metalwork and design all go to the naking of a wonderful build8ng. Bring on is renovation.

One of the most beautiful buildings in Georgetown. Sadly in need of restoration which will apparently be done by the British next year.

Worth a look. Could use some work and would be more impressive. Has 75 foot tower. Could not enter on a Sunday, as Georgetown is basically closed on Sundays.

Like a lot of public buildings in Georgetown, City Hall is in desperate need of restoration. Undoubtedly funds are short, but a little bit of ongoing maintenance would have prevented the building deteriating to this extent. Well worth a short visit.

If this building was maintained it would have been one of the most beautiful in Georgetown. Sadly Local Government has been an absolute failure and as such the building seems to be one of the many causalities. Hopefully it can one day be restored to...More
