A peaceful outdoor experience. The creek and deck were relaxing and enjoyable. The food was good using many local ingredients.

The atmosphere.
When you walk in there is a small sign that says "no negativity". That sign is not just for show, its a motto that Pandama lives by!
It should also be noted that the owners live at the resort, so they are essentially welcoming you into their home and treat you like family. They don't have any rules but be respectful of their lovely home and establishment.

As A Guyanese living in Guyana who has been to most of the creek resorts in the country , I was quite curious to visit Pandama.
It was absolutely beautiful. The hammocks by the creek were a wonderful touch . Simple rustic design , but the addition of hammocks by the water gave it that special touch .
I found myself sitting in a corner, looking at the dark creek water in the pouring rain , and despite the fact that I was surrounded by scores of loud teenagers ( my own family ) it was still peaceful and introspective.
The food was fresh and organic , presented beautifully in a simple calabash bowl , delish !
The trail wasn’t much of a hiking challenge , but worth it since it leads to a great view of the sandy highland area .
The aesthetics were for the most part pleasing , except for the bathroom area which was dank and perhaps not the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever visited .
However the welcome and warmth from the host and hostess more than made up for it .
All in all , Pandama is truly worth visiting . I highly recommend.
In the words of one of my nieces .. “ Omg that was the BEST day .. when are we going back ? “ .. pretty much sums it up.

We were in Georgetown Guyana and had a day to kill. We couldn’t get a tour to the falls when someone told us to go to Pandama. It’s about an hour drive outside the city and down a dirt road. We were greeted warmly by the ex pat owners/hosts Warren and Tracy. We took a tour of the property and planned lunch for 1pm. The property sits in the forrest and is an open air off the grid lifestyle facility. If you’re expecting the rainforest cafe, this isn’t it. So Sit down, take off your shoes and go for a swim in the black water pond. Then Sit down for a wine tasting of Warren’s home made wine (it’s excellent). Lunch was a delicious surprise of fish, vegetables, fruit and potatoes served in a wood bowl. The Guyanese poke bowl. We sat around and engaged in delightful and insightful conversation. Our only regret if we didn’t spend the night in one of the forest bungalows. This was the highlight of our trip. We will be back for sure. Skip the bazaars, traffic and craziness of Georgetown and head straight to Pandama.

Cool location. The wine wasn't nearly that great though. I'm always wary that people call these fermented fruits wine at all. The taste isn't the same. The hosts are lovely and the place is cozy. I've never stayed overnight.

Sorry you felt that way about our wines. It is customary for guests that have not enjoyed tropical fruit wines before to embrace the subtle differences rather than criticize them. Is is however gratifying to know that most of our guests that try our wines enjoy them. Maybe you should be a little more open minded in the future. We are however happy that you stopped by. Cheers.

The place is not easily accessible, unless you get there with a four wheel drive vehicle. Once you’ve arrived , you’re greeted by a multitude of under nourished dogs. On the bright side, the dogs give you a warmer welcome than the owners ( a husband and wife ). The owners seem to always be pre occupied by something other than your well being or paying you any attention. They immediately let you know what monies they want from you and seemed to only be concerned about taking your money, without you knowing anything about the run down overgrown forest dump.

This is obviously a lame attempt to create an unnecessary feud. This is so out in left field that we will not dignify it with a response. We will however report this to Tripadvisor.
So very sad.

I will be in Guyana for work in early January. What are the times and prices for the wine tasting and meals? Unfortunately I cannot spend the entire day.
