A must see in Georgetown
Nov 2019
This church is unreal. It is the largest wooden church in the world. We have seen this church many times and even gone to a Christmas service there.

The cathedral is under renovations and there is construction ongoing, it cant be visited. It is centrally located and represents the local wooden architecture. It is a remarkable building. You can somehow admire the colored glass windows from the outside. It us located in the city center

Nov 2019
This is a historical building, tallest wooden building in the Caribbean, well worth taking a tour inside the building, its free to enter except during service when you will be asked to wait until the service finishes

Beautiful building that you need to sbdorb.

If you can / go during the lunch time service... sit apart from the small congregation and admire the architecture. This is a building you need to absorb - both the architecture and the past, present and future of Guyana. If you have the time - spend some in quiet contemplation here.

Wonderful church
Sep 2019
I believe I was told that this is the tallest wooden church in the world. Glad to see it was being refurbished and despite all the work going on, you could still get into the building to see its glory.

Said to be the largest wooden cathedral in the world.
Very interesting architecture and woodwork in the roof. Roof needs some work to restore it to its original beauty.
The church interior and exterior are beautiful works of art.
The interior was being refurbished when I visited and there was still much work to be done.
The exterior was also being refurbished but was almost complete.
It is an active place of worship and seems to have a large and vibrant congregation.

Amazing Architecture Structure
Aug 2019
The structure is amazing. It was a feeling of awe as I marveled at the woodwork and arches. The church should definitely be renovated and restore to its natural beauty.
