We stopped at three restaurants in the Macarena district. At each we were given 2-4 options of 2-3 courses. Portions are not large but this is a good thing!! All of our items were delicious.
Juliana was our guide - we were two persons only. She was very friendly and we were happy to spend the evening with her in

We really enjoyed this tour during our short time in Bogota. Lina picked us up at our hotel and headed to Mount Monserrate where you have an amazing view of the city. Afterwards we visited la Calendaria, the historic district of the city, as well as Gold Museum and Botero Museum. We also tried local food like empanadas and chichas. She had ample knowledge of the places and the city's history. Lina also had excellent recommendations for activities beyond the tour. We liked it so much that we booked a second tour with the company for the very next day! Even before we got to the city, she was very accesible and answer all our questions. We definitely recommend this company!

Thanks Frances! It was my pleasure to have you guys on both tours, I'm really glad you enjoyed them. I had a lot of fun hanging out with you, learned a lot about all the Puerto Rican reggaeton artists :D

It was advertised as a gourmet tour, dress code suggested as smart casual. My wife and I went on the “gourmet” tour to celebrate my birthday. We should have been suspicious when our guide Juliana arrived not looking “smart”, in jeans and running shoes. The best initial impression was that she and the driver arrived on time in a nice clean car.
It went steeply downhill from there. The first restaurant was a second story walk-up with old mismatched folding chairs and odd decor. We were the only guests in the entire restaurant and dressed “smart casual”, felt totally out of place. Juliana explained that we could have one Mojito each and one appetizer of a choice of two and one main course of two. Juliana did not eat with us, she just sat there and watched us which made my wife very uncomfortable. The Mojito was not at all what I had in previous experiences, very sour, lacking any syrup and minimum amount of rum, if any. I don’t want to bother you with the food details but it was absolutely minimum quality.
After dinner, Juliana informed us that the next restaurant was 15 minutes on foot up hill. She called for a car since my wife is mobility impaired and we waited forever until a car showed up. With the terrible first visit, we informed her that we would like to be taken back to the hotel.

I don't even know where to begin, I was expecting this terrible review as Juliana told me what happened that day. First of all we let our guides dress the way the feel more comfortable, we need them to be nice, have a good English and be knowledgeable, things that Juliana has, I don't know why she wearing jeans and tennis shoes make a difference for you. The first restaurant has a Cuban - Caribbean style decoration, so the tables, chairs and what you call an odd decoration is part of the concept, they want the place to look like that. You said you were the only people in the restaurant, well you took the tour on a Monday when not many people go out to eat, we usually go out mainly from Thursday to Saturday, and besides there were protests going on in the city, so this also makes people stay home. On Friday and Saturday you can't get a table at that restaurant. The next restaurant is only 4 blocks away, is a nice walk that usually people want to do as you walk by the Bullfighting arena and nice colorful houses in the neighborhood, but if people can't or don't want to do the walk we call a driver, which she did, and the driver took just 10 minutes, not forever. When Juliana dropped you back at the hotel you didn't even say goodbye to her, that was very rude and you made her feel very bad. Next time you can say good bye to your guide when she drops you at your hotel, that's simple manners. Juliana told me all your conversation was how you were hating everything in Bogotá, saying that Monserrate was tacky and the Botanical gargen was underwhelming, so our tour was not going to be the exception.

My husband and I were excited to experience the Gourmet Food Tour. Our guide, Julianna was delightful and took us to three good restaurants.

What spoiled the entire evening for us was that food for our guide was not included. We shared our food and purchased beverages for her so that we would not have someone at our table just sitting there watching us eat. This made us extremely uncomfortable.

Our guide loves her job and never complained, but since the food tour gets a big discount from the various establishments, they should let their guides eat so that their guests don't feel uncomfortable.

Hi Brenda, I'm glad you enjoyed the restaurants, the food and the guide. First of all we don't get big discounts from the restaurants, what we get is special small portions so you can try different dishes at each place, but each menu is not cheap as these are not cheap restaurants and we include alcoholic beverages. Second, I have offered the guides to eat but they prefer for me to give them the money I would spend on the food and eat at home, and I can't ask the restaurants to give them food for free. I'm sorry this made you feel uncomfortable, but thanks for letting me know that this detail ruined the experience for you, I'll think of something to fix this. I really appreciate you comment and I hope you enjoyed your time in Bogotá.

Our guide Alejandro met us on time at our hotel. He was very friendly and eager to show us this beautiful colonial part of the city. His English is outstanding. We kept our itinerary flexible due to weather and the unexpected early closure of the Gold Museum. Alejandro gave us a couple of suggestions on additional sights to see as well as his favorite restaurants near our hotel. Following our tour he took us to the door of our hotel.

This was more than a standard pub crawl. Lina introduced us to the Craft Beer industry of Bogota by taking us to three separate places, each with unique ideas and establishments. She was entertaining, speaks outstanding English, and shares interesting history/facts on beer. This tour gave us a wide variety of beers to taste and drink: Saison, amber, IPA, stouts, hazy, etc. After 3-5 tastes you choose the one you prefer for a full portion.

Our guide Rafael was excellent explaining all the different sites and providing context to the experience. We enjoyed this tour and would recommend to see the main highlights of Bogotá in one day.

My daughter and I went on the tour with Alejandro as our guide. He was fantastic, both knowledgeable and personable. He knew the shortcuts and anecdotes that make any tour special. It was a long day with a good amount of walking but well worth it if you really want a sense of Bogota and its history.

My friend and I had a wonderful tour with Bogota Pub Crawl. We were fortunate to have Santiago as a wonderful guide. His English is excellent and he was very engaged and informative. La Candelaria is a very interesting district and the Gold Museum is worth seeing. There are great views from Monserrate and the site is beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour.
