The exterior of the Church of San Agustin presents nothing out of the ordinary or particularly special however upon entry the interior demonstrates it's hidden beauty within. The markings on the ceiling are unique and the alter is ginormous and golden.

Local bus. Easy access. Beautiful Cathedral St Augustine. Ground clean and well maintained flowers and trees. Inside is breathtaking. They sang like angles. Acoustics and performance spectacular!

Lovely chapel opposite Nariño's Palace. It is very quiet once you go inside and the images and decorations are traditional and old-fashioned. If you like visiting churches, you must stop by this one, and go right to the altar, where you can appreciate its ornamentation more closely.

The brick outside of this church isn't very impressive and it looks very run down, but inside is really worth checking out. Not as ornate as some of the other churches on the opposite side of Plaza Bolivar, this is still worth seeing.

The church is in front of the Palacio de Narino so you can check it after taking your picture with the guards. Is not amazing, so you can easily miss it if you are in a hurry.

On my last trip to Bogota, I visited all the major churches in the city and in even outside of the city and this church is by far my favorite. Absolutely breath taking!!! I've never even heard of it, we were just passing by and decided to go in. We went around Christmas time and it also had the most beautiful and complete nativity set of all the ones around the city. It's worth taking the time to admire each little thing and walk all the way to the back and around. Don't miss it!

IMHO, a beautiful church. Much more impressive than the huge Catedral Primada. Great place to reflect on the poverty of the people and the wealth of the established church....

The church is simple, doesn't have afrescos like so many others, but it is near a bunch of other places to visit and you can see it in a few minutes.

Unlike other Latin American countries, super catholic Colombia does not boast stunning baroque churches. San Agustin is an exception: its exquisitely painted ceiling and generally elegant architecture make it a must stop when visiting downtown Bogota.

interesting enough church if you happen to be on that side of the presidential palace anyway, but don't go out of your way
