30 cents for admission?? Seriously, we had to check this out. Our family likes small museums we can do quickly and this fit the bill. Great collection of authentic clothing from different regions of Colombia. Walking through the different parts of the traditional house was an added bonus. We completely enjoyed this museum and hope others will check it out.

We came across the museum unexpectedly and decided to have a look around. Buying the (very cheap) admission fee was an adventure in itself. I enjoyed the different varieties of textiles on display and learned about traditional Colombian fashion/costume.

I enjoyed the visit to the "Regional Costume Museum." It was only $3,000 pesos to enter, so even if you have a little bit of time to spend, it is worth it. I enjoyed the way they had the dresses set up with an explanation about who would wear them and when. There is also a room talking about Manuela Saenz, who was the mistress of Simon Bolivar.

Wonderful museum with a great display of regional costumes and history of clothing in Colombia. Only takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Located in a very old building in Candelaria that would an attraction all by itself.

Museo de Trajes (museum of costumes)Small museum, some of the displays were in English and Spanish. Interesting to see traditional costumes for different regions of Colombia... even pre-conquistador items. 2nd floor opens out to a courtyard below. Nice spot to rest in the shade. This museum may not be interesting for everyone but I enjoyed it and recommend it.

This is a museum you can do very quickly just to learn about Colombian textiles and dresses. It is clean and well preserved. But there are better museums to visit if you are short of time.

I'd walked past this small museum in La Candelaria many times and finally decided to check it out. The ground floor has an outstanding mochila collection (traditional handwoven bags you see everywhere in Colombia) showing the craftsmanship of different mochilas from different regions over time, as well as traditional regional dress from different parts of the country. My eyesight isn't terrific so my only reservation is that the lighting is lower than ideal to see everything. To the rear the ground floor opens into a beautiful, exposed textile art gallery and 2nd floor textile and ceramics museum that is outstanding and easy to absorb in a relatively small amount of time. All well worth a visit.

Small but impressive museum with a collection of traditional clothing from the pre-conquistador era through the colonial period. Small but interesting mask collection

if you have half an hour to spare, you can visit this museum and learn quite a bit about history of the colombian people, some of its customs and specially about the textiles used throughout the region.
it is a very small case museum with a lot of information, friendly front desk, and a nice old building to explore.
people not attracted to this part of history will most surely be bored within seconds, but there is a story to tell in every exhibition, so be sure to spend half an hour of your day here, on your next trip.

This was a small museum that I accidentally walked into. I think the admission was 1,000 pesos (less than 40 cents), so I figured it couldn't hurt to check it out. They did a good job of displaying various styles of dress from all over the country. It is in an old building with a beautiful courtyard as well. It's as close to free as possible and takes around 20 minutes, so if you are in the area, check it out.
