Wonderful museum with a great display of regional costumes and history of clothing in Colombia. Only takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Located in a very old building in Candelaria that would an attraction all by itself.

This is a museum you can do very quickly just to learn about Colombian textiles and dresses. It is clean and well preserved. But there are better museums to visit if you are short of time.

The ground floor has an outstanding mochila collection (traditional handwoven bags you see everywhere in Colombia) showing the craftsmanship of different mochilas from different regions over time,...More

The museum is very close to the Teatro Colon and the Casa de Moneda museum in the Candelaria area. The Spanish required people of different social status and racial groups to dress in specific costumes and there is an extensive display of these here. Also...More

We came across the museum unexpectedly and decided to have a look around. Buying the (very cheap) admission fee was an adventure in itself. I enjoyed the different varieties of textiles on display and learned about traditional Colombian fashion/costume.
