Parque Simon Bolivar was fabulous. I spent a few hours there on a Wednesday morning and am so glad I did. There are plenty of paved paths to walk, run, rollerblade, or ride your bike. The park is quite large so you can take a leisurely stroll, rent a canoe, paddleboat, or watch one of the many informal games of... More

The place needs a significant upgrade. Used by lots of joggers and bicyclists and that is about it. Next to the botanical gardens (sited right next door) it is a let down.

Large beautiful park, the real quiet corner in such a busy city. Ideal for spending a relaxing day, maybe a Sunday with the family. It has different paths and I suggest to be careful of pickpockets but in our case we were very lucky.

The park is near the Biblioteca Virgilio, it's big and would be nice for going to a bike ride. There is a big lake which gives it beautiful views. And some small shops to buy snacks.

Visited yesterday when it was a national holiday. Lot's of families at the park, lots of activity. The park is really big and well-kept. For me it was interesting how quiet it felt, whilst being in such a massive city.

If you´d rather have a nice and calm afternoon with local people, tropical fruits and outstanding coffee, Simon Bolivar Park is your place. In the middle of the Metropoli and crowned by the Virgilio Barco Library (one of the biggest libraries in LAtinAmerica), you´ll have no remorses for spending your time doing nothing than have a walk. Spectacular place!!

I passed through on my way to the Biblioteca Virgilio, and found that the park was much bigger than I expected. In the center is a lake where you can rent a row boat. I walked around the perimeter and was surprised by how green and spacious the area was. I also saw a playground, a huge chapel, a lookout,... More
