I am sure a guided graffiti tour is fantastic, but just walking La Candelaria is the bomb. Fabulous old buildings painted to bits. Everywhere you look, there it is! Make sure you have lots of camera space. Super bohemian and funky.

You have to walk around Candelaria if you go to Bogota . The buildings and the culture are amazing and there is something to look at around every corner.

We were here on a tour and it was a most enjoyable one. The tour took us through cobble stone streets and it's a very unique and picturesque place. A mixture of old and new, great restaurants and artists displaying their arts. Tour took about...More

Other reviews do a great job describing this area of the city of Bogota. We had only two days in town, but were very glad our walking tour took us here. If we had more time we would have spent much of it here. Great...More

Walking through the narrow streets and streets of colorful historic houses and several bars, restaurants and cafes is a delight. During the day this part of the city is full of life!

Day time fun yes. A lot of restaurants and things to do/see. At night, the demographic changes and it becomes a little shadier. It is not too far from the rough red-light district. I would caution walking around here in the evenings and night time....More

Visited the center of the Candelaria for a short walk and time for coffee. The buildings ate interesting yet not in the best condition. Kind of a step back into time with young people hanging out but hopefully still reaching out for education. Not a...More

I'm not sure of your desired "adventure level"... I've stayed in both Chapinero (where The Cité Hotel is located) and in Candelaria. Here's the thing... during the day, Candelaria is wonderful. The old buildings, the shops... More
