Ann was terrific guide, she gave a very lucid description of the street art. She placed it in a historical, political and social framework while describing the techniques of the artists. It was, also, a great way to get to know this part of the city.

Jeff, our tour guide is an anthropologist who that did his dissertation on 'chicha' (the drink created by the aboriginal culture in Colombia - which is a whole other story), made this tour so incredible. Walking the streets of La Candelaria (Bogota's city centre) with him was not only interesting and enlightening, but entertaining and informative. You will go places... More

There are a lots of street art and graffiti on the town walls. I had no idea there was so much history behind it. Our perfect tour guide Carlos took us around the city and talked about the art, the history behind them and had some relevant side notes to every place we went to. He helped me with all... More

Thanks to Jeff our most qualified tour guide, a rainy good part of our tour remained sunny in spirit and attitude due to our most wonderful guide. Truly a must see here in Bogota, and I only wish that there were more cities on our planet that would encourage this most talented group of artists.....thanks Jeff for making my day... More

First impression was: - Friendly host - Too many people (30-40) so already I am thinking how will we view the art clearly and how will the voice of the host reach everybody? - I am also thinking with so many people, if each pay minimum suggested donation of 20,000 then that is a good rate so I really hope... I like to learn about the places I visit. I wasn't that excited about the graffiti tour during the planning phase of our trip, but I left the tour really impressed and glad I went. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the art as well as the political, historical, and sociological context of the artistry. I even purchased a... More

It was my birthday, and I was not sure how to spend my precious "free morning" in Bogota. (I was there for a work conference.) I do not regret my decision to go on the Graffiti Tour, and Jay was the guide for our group of about 20. I do not regret my decision---in fact this tour was the highlight... More

I know this is a free tour so there is very little to lose here but the tour was still a little disappointing. It was mostly about the artists and their style, less about what the artist was trying to convey in their art that might be related to Colombia, life, etc. Jay, our leader, was pleasant and passionate but... Outside of a trip up Montserrate, the next most mandatory experience for any visitor to Bogota is a graffiti tour of the old town. Jeff the Anthropologist who got his degree by "studying" chicha was the guide on my recent Friday afternoon tour. He was extremely knowledgable and friendly, made the tour entertaining, and somehow managed to corral the 30+... More

I'm not usually one for walking tours for some reason, but the graffiti tour was the absolute best part of our visit to Bogota. My husband and I have a much better understanding of Colombia, its culture, and the history and culture of Bogota for going on the tour. It touched on everything, from Plan Colombia to the art itself.... More
