This is a wonderful botanic garden, well organized and with some outstanding desert plant specimens. I was surprised to see a collection of carnivorous plants which was thriving despite the cool Bogota weather. Sadly the tropical greenhouses are being rebuilt so it will not be possible to see the tropical collection until 2017........

Not just a place for tourists - there were a lot of local families there, too. It's a sprawling property, divided into sections by casual paths. Plenty of photo ops with lots of access for close-ups.

A very serene garden for a romantic walk. I went here with my wife and we kept excellent memories. I already miss it.

We took our 8 year old godchild and we spent a wonderful afternoon. Entrance fee is almost nothing and the place is very well kept.

The Jardín Botánico is beautiful and complete, The best way to start a Colombian adventure and to get a tatse of what's to come. The gardens are well planned. At the moment of visit they were constructing a big greenhouse so what could be seen was limited, but still wothwhile

We made two trips to this garden - one to see the flowers and one to concentrate on the birds. It's hard to tell which one was our favorite. It's nicely laid out, even though there were some detours because of revamping some of the areas. We enjoyed our visit.

I highly recommend Jardin Botanico, I spent several hours there with a friend. They usually offer tour guides in Spanish and English however, the day I was there it was only in Spanish. This was one of my favorite places that I visited in Bogota. The price is very reasonable- if I remember correctly it cost the equivalent of 50... More

Many gardens with this name are of little interest to flower-enthusiasts. But this one is. The collections are wonderful and cover a huge range, It is also a very pleasant place to visit for families with large open areas as well as quite secluded areas. Worth spending at least half a day here. But take a taxi or a local... More

Clearly a very expansive garden, but it seemed like a big chunk was under construction during our visit. We were especially disheartened to see that the orchid house was closed (not sure why, wasn't under construction). Very cheap entry (2700p) so nice for an afternoon stroll for a couple hours.
