Many gardens with this name are of little interest to flower-enthusiasts. But this one is. The collections are wonderful and cover a huge range, It is also a very pleasant place to visit for families with large open areas as well as quite secluded areas. Worth spending at least half a day here. But take a taxi or a local... More

Clearly a very expansive garden, but it seemed like a big chunk was under construction during our visit. We were especially disheartened to see that the orchid house was closed (not sure why, wasn't under construction). Very cheap entry (2700p) so nice for an afternoon stroll for a couple hours.

This is place is big. Probably one of the largest in the world. 6 hectares if I recall correctly. Great space to walk and enjoy nature's beauty.

Absolutely beautiful! The rose garden was spectacular. There is currently a section that is being prepared to be tropical garden. Good diversity of plants and flowers.

Very nice place taking me all over the world with its variety of trees and flowers. Cost was $1. Highly recommended for anyone enjoying nature. I like the desert and pine tree areas. There is a man made waterfall too.

In Bogota, I miss so much parks and fresh air so it's a good deal to relax in the city. You can't hear any noise from the street and you feel like in another city. It's just beautiful to look at people doing some yoga or kids playing. Many flowers and trees

Colombia is one of the most bio-diverse territories on the planet and Jardin Botánico is the largest sample of Colombian trees & flora, if you're a nature lover or even just curious about it it's worth the visit.

Planes overhead every 90 seconds but besides that it's a great getaway without leaving town, and there should be 2-3 hours of relaxation and maybe even learning for most people.

We visited the garden during our short stay in Bogotà. It was a lovely place to walk through and enjoy a little bit of nature in a busy city. There were so many unique trees and flowers. We particularly enjoyed getting to see some hummingbirds. It is completely outdoors and requires a fair amount of walking.

Bogota's Botanical Garden is a great place to visit with kids. It is spacious and well-designed. The guided tours are better for older children and teens but there are learning activities in several areas that are suitable for younger visitors. You can easily spend a good portion of the day exploring the different gardens and climates.
