Andres the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much about Bogota and the history of Colombia, all while eating delicious food! The tour involves a lot of walking but we loved learning about all of the different neighborhoods. The tour is centered around a selection of desserts, appetizers and fruits rather than full meals, but it was great to be able to try such a variety of foods! Definitely recommend!

Not just food, although I would say we covered the key 'categories' - but also we played tejo (nothing like the thrill of seeing the little triangle ignite and explode:-).
I'm always impressed with a company who does not cancel when I am the only one scheduled client. Loved the way Andres wove in the history of how the current version of the Bogota food came to be through its Indigenous, Spanish or African roots. I only wish I had scheduled this for my first day in Bogota, as it gives you a very good idea of just off the tourist path places to go. i.e. the Ajiaco and hot chocolate we sampled were preferable to the one I had at 'la puerta falsa'. Do you wonder WHY they would ever start putting the cheese in the hot chocolate in the first place? This tour will give you the answer. Andres has very good English and is also very cognizant of picking 'sanitary' places to eat. I was able to schedule this through the Chase rewards booking portal, making it an even better value. Very satisfied with the experience (and I have done them all over the world).

Our guide, Andres, was fantastic. He was full of knowledge, not only about the local food, but about local history and gastronomy in general. He also provided many fantastic recommendations for the rest of our trip. A must do if you're visiting Bogota and love food!

Andres is EXCELLENT! He is probably my favorite part. I'm a type of person that likes prep, process and understanding of things. Andres knowledge of not only the food, but the history of the area, people and region is without question. Additionally, his English is very good, so he can, in detail, explain concepts and answer questions.

Take this tour!! Andrés was a joy to learn from. He introduced us all the foods we had seen but knew nothing about, and gave us the history behind each dish and all the ingredients. The tour also highlighted some local points of interest. A delicious Colombian history lesson. Length of time of the tour was just right and we finished the tour prepared to eat our way through Bogotá.

Andres’ walking tour is an enjoyable way to learn about Colombian culture through its food. He’s very knowledgeable and just a pleasant, gracious guy. My wife and I learned a great deal and sampled some delicious food.

This tour is the perfect way to see Bogotá and learn the history of this wonderful city. Andres is an exceptional tour guide- this guy really knows it all! From stories of the city’s biggest icons to knowledge of the country’s history to a love of food, Andres is the perfect guide to lead you through Bogotá. We tried ajiaco at a local market, fruits in a park, and hot chocolate in a classic pastry shop- and lots more too! For foodies and history buffs alike, I think this tour makes for a perfect activity and introduction to Bogotá.

This was a perfect way to spend our first day in Bogota!! Our host Andreas was very knowledgeable re not just all things food, but also the areas we visited, the history, everything. It is very obvious that he is passionate about what he does and how he enjoys sharing this knowledge with others. Such a great user experience and he came very prepared. Thank you so much again and we look forward to another tour in Medellin !
