Andres is the best tour guide you can hope for. He went above and beyond to show me an excellent time. Andres has extensive knowledge of each dish and bogota itself. I wouldn’t waste time or money on the multiple Chaperino food tours and stick with this one. You’ll cover southern Chaperino, Santa Fe, and down to La Candelaria.

Andres did a wonderful job explaining the context and nuances of Colombian food, culture, people and current political context. Plus we got to explore some wonderful neighbourhoods. A bit pricier than some of the others, but well worth the extra cost. I can't recommend highly enough!

Not just food, although I would say we covered the key 'categories' - but also we played tejo (nothing like the thrill of seeing the little triangle ignite and explode:-). I'm always impressed with a company who does not cancel when I am the only one scheduled client. Loved the way Andres wove in the history of how the current version of the Bogota food came to be through its Indigenous, Spanish or African roots. I only wish I had scheduled this for my first day in Bogota, as it gives you a very good idea of just off the tourist path places to go. i.e. the Ajiaco and hot chocolate we sampled were preferable to the one I had at 'la puerta falsa'. Do you wonder WHY they would ever start putting the cheese in the hot chocolate in the first place? This tour will give you the answer. Andres has very good English and is also very cognizant of picking 'sanitary' places to eat. I was able to schedule this through the Chase rewards booking portal, making it an even better value. Very satisfied with the experience (and I have done them all over the world).

I had a great tour earlier this week. The guide Andres was very informative and friendly with everyone. I really liked tasting the coffee workshop. The food feast was also delicious and there was a huge selection to try. 10/10!

I was lucky enough to have a food adventure with A Chef’s Tour last year at Chiang Mai and the excellent experience I had made me want to try their tour in Bogota when I was there. Again I was blown away, the tour went beyond my expectation! So much delicious food to try (and the game of tejo is really fun), and thanks to our guide Andres for making the tour truly extraordinary. Super recommended!
