This is a wonderful tour -- it is amazing to learn about life in Bogota and see incredible views of the city. The tour group is small so you are able to ask questions and meet the other travelers. The bakery that we stopped at provides a delicious snack - I can't recommend the fruit tea enough!!

The tour was fantastic and I highly recommend it. It was so enjoyable seeing the neighborhood and learning about the history. Andrea was an amazing tour guide. She communicated very well regarding the meeting place and kept us informed of the day’s agenda. If you were thinking of doing the tour, don’t think do it!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour, you see such a different side of Bogotá and the views from the cable car are amazing! A must see for travellers who like to try do something different to the usual beaten tourist track.

Although I did enjoy hanging out with locals and the views were amazing, I'm not sure I would do this tour again. For one thing it took a lot of my limited time. Travel time to & from the cable car station was longer than expected. Also, David was very nice but he spent a fair amount of time on his phone and I didn't find him especially informative. I was hoping to learn more about migration, the troubles and how the country is dealing with it now, but mostly I was told about the cable car project. Not sure having a guide was necessary?

I had a great time at the Colombian Cooking Experience. I learnt lots about Colombian food, and loved the addition of fruit tasting. The food was delicious too! I hope to make this at home. The chief was excellent and there was lots of attention to detail. The guides are very knowledgeable about Colombian food and culture, they also spoke excellent English to answer all the questions we had. I highly recommend this cooking experience!

David took us on my dream journey (the one I fantasized about after listening to the Mija podcast and this was my primary reason for wanting to go to Bogata to start with!) to see the true beauty amongst the cultural heart of the Bogota i had heard so much about and yearned to see. He walked us through the history of how this area had come together and retained their deep sense of community throughout adversity and poverty. The sights and sounds and any local digs he took us to were a refreshing reprieve from tourist centers. Even the cable car to get there was top notch and a rather unique experience since it was just another regular form of public transportation for people living there and we as tourists stood out gleefully like sore thumbs! This was an irreplaceable experience for me and made me fall in love with Bogota and the people of Bogota. thank you David!

Well designed and thought out trip. A trip for those who want a different tourist experience. A trip for the socially conscious. The cablecar ride is fun with great views. However, the best part of this tour starts once you reach the top when you are then transported to the outskirts of town. Our guide Daniel introduces you to Antonio who provides a heart felt and personal tour of the little community he is a part of. It is an eye opening and inspiring tour demonstrating people being the best they can in trying circumstances. Cannot recommend this tour enough. To the guide Daniel, you are very warm and engaging and absolutely nailed your role. Great insights, great communication, great stories. We walked away better educated; better informed and very grateful to have spent the day with you.

We got into Bogota around noon and had just enough time to get from the airport to the hotel then to the meeting spot. Great tour if you do not want to waste your half day in Bogota. Our tour guide, David Cruz, was very informative and helpful. We were provided with detailed instructions before the tour. He also gave us tips for photo spots. Our 2nd tour guide once we got to the Bolivar neighborhood was our best experience as we got to see first hand what the social project is about. If you decide to have the driver take you from La Candelaria over to the Parque 93 area, make sure you set the fair BEFORE he takes you. We were under the impression that it was $20, but he ended up charging us $35.

Our tour guide, Francisco was amazing. Very very friendly and extremely patient in answering the many questions I had as my curiosity piqued soon as I hopped onto the cable car.
The tour started outside the Gold museum. The guide took us on a bus journey to the El Tunal station. From there we headed to the cable car terminal which was about 8 mins walking distance. The cable car experience was unique and quite interesting as we hovered over the residences of the south bogota community. During the ride the guide explained how and why the cable car came to be and how the govt played an instrumental role in enabling people there own those houses.
Atop El Parasio we went for a walk exploring the many murals the town had to offer and they were amazing. The view from the town facing bogota was spectacular and quite unique. We took some pictures and on our way back we were fed with fresh juices and breads/ deserts. Quite amazing indeed. This tour was the worth the money and I highly recommend.
