Such a beautiful, magical place! There is so much to see here. It's not just a pretty view on your way to Coroico. There are many pieces of art scattered around the mountains that you can go around and explore. There's so little info about the statues online, but at least some of them were made by Bolivian-Swiss artist Francine Secretan. There are few signs and not much information provided, so you just have to go around exploring yourself. It's super cold though, so dress appropriately.

Very good place to go to enjoy a beautiful panorama, at high altitude (approx 4,500msnm), both to see the sunrise or sunset, is a place where you feel closer to the sky and stars ...

This is at about 4900 meters and is a very attractive area. I came here to begin the El Choro trek which I would highly recommend. Expect your breath to be taken away as even acclimatized will be affected.

This is a wild place - very high up. Be careful with the altitude and try to plan your visit with a holiday. That way you'll see Bolivians doing some cool things. It's really great to go around August 1 for Pacha Mama as well as on the Solstice.

There's not much to do but it's worth a stop if you're going to Coroico. I wouldn't say it's worth going just to go but it could be a cool place for pic nic.

The highest point on the road from La Paz to Coroico and the starting place for the many bicycle tours. Not a destination but a good place to stop. In the colder months more interesting because people from the city gather there to freeze dry potatoes to make chuno.

It's a foggy place at 4'300m where starts the VTT to the dead road. On this site you can also find a ritual site from a Swiss/Bolivian sculptor, Francine Secretan. She built monumental sculptors where also local Yatiris (shamans) go to detain their rituals.

Place known as Las Cumbres. Very beautiful and with an altitude of almost 4900 meters above sea level. From this point onwards, the descents of the Down Hill Tours on the road to death begin. It's worth the visit, as the view of the mountains is incredible.
