Beautiful place, frequented by many people and pigeons. Surrounding it are government buildings and the beautiful Cathedral. Quiet walk and safe place, close to Mirador Kili Kili, where I recommend using transport.

Plaza Murillo is smack bang in the centre of the city of La Paz and with that comes many other important monuments and buildings such as the presidential palace and cathedral. It is a colourful and vibrant core and has lots to do and see nearby. The central statue is impressive and overall it is an aesthetic area.

The nervous heart of La Paz is a lively and not so big cute square with beautiful buildings around, including the cathedral and the government palace, the Palacio Quemado. Worth a stroll.

With some interesting buildings surrounding this well kept and popular square, it's a nice place to stop for a take away lunch or similar. It was in a better kept than many similar spots in other South American cities

Check out the clock at the city hall, and like my title says, if you go with a guide, you'll learn way more!
Nice and lots of people around! Definitely worth a visit.

Everything is happening around this square. You can also the Presidential palace and the cathedral - right there! We were there just as a wedding party arrived!

The statue here is dedicated to Pedro Murillo, one who fought for independence. The square has been a longtime meeting place and is the location of the presidential palace, the cathedral, and the national congress building. There is also a building with bullet holes in it, a sign of the battle for control of this nation. This is a great site for history buffs.
