Bad

A very poor quality show with a lot of unnecessary violence, including violence against women. In the end, it turned into chaos at all, and it was not clear who was fighting whom and who was throwing a chair to whom...

Good for a laugh once you don’t take it too seriously, gets a bit repetitive but just join in the fun

Great (if you allow it to be)
Jan 2020 • Couples
As long as you relax to see the fun side of it, it’s great fun! The fights all follow the same sort of story line, and it drags on a bit, but it’s fun to sit amongst the El Alto locals and get caught up in the support (or jeering) of the fighters. Some passengers on the bus journey back were nervous because of the state of the roads, but as long as you can allow yourself to trust the driver, you’ll be fine.

It’s different but worth it

A friend mentioned this wrestling show - I hadn’t made any plans so thought why not!!! It was funny and energetic!
I was personally picked up at my hotel and brought in a taxi to the venue where I received a free drink, popcorn and a little souvenir! The evening was entertaining and something you don’t go to everyday! Plus you’re supporting Bolivian women!!!

Great show but max for one hour
Dec 2019 • Solo
Great show for max one hour. Unfortunately, the show in total is 2,5h so if you're not a fan of wrestling you simply will quickly get enough of the fake punches. However, the organisation is pretty good and you don't have to necessary book it as a tour from the agency. Just show up at the place. But please bear in mind that the place is in El Alto which is considered not too safe for tourists (better to move around there in a bigger group).

Oct 2019
I though it would be cholitas wrestling and it turned out to be wresting... I saw 5 fights and just one were cholitas... and it was fake of course, nothing real...
It was 20BS for bolivian people and 50BS for foreign people at the entrace...
I am not going to repeat...

Unique Outing but Mixed Feelings about scenes of Men "Beating" Women
Sep 2019
The Good: 1) Unique bolivian experience, 2)campy, 3)exciting/action packed 4) audience participation is hilarious 5) affordable outing with transportation, drink, snack and souvenir included (paid BOB100)

The Not-So Good: 1) some disturbing graphic scenes of men beating up women 2) spraying of beer/soda by performers on opponents invariably hits the audience 3) show was repetitive during several bouts 4) open venue with no insulation lets the cold air in (dress warm!) 5) pick up and return may be slow (many different hotels to go around)

Absolute shambles!!!
Aug 2019 • Couples
Waited 1 hour for pick up from hostel, eventually someone came but we ended up walking to the place as the bus had forgotten to pick us up.

Already started by the time we arrived. They had run out of (free) drinks. Free T-shirt/wrestling mask had even been downgraded to a key ring or postcards. Saw three and a bit bouts - the last three had almost identical scripts.

To top it all off the bus back dropped us off further from our hostel than if we had just walked back!

An interesting night

Soley a show for tourists. A great fight was put on by the performers and they were very interactive with the audience which was fun but I just wished it could have been a little bit more authentic!
