Very tiring to climb but it was the most beautiful place i've ever been to. It feels like you're so close to the heaven yet so distant, because it is so big and imponent. There are no more words to describe!!!

We climbed this monster with Huayna Potosi. It is the most amazing mountain. All of the companies sell it like it is a walk in the park. We are not stupid and knew it wouldn't be as easy as they said it would be but...More

If you are looking for a real challenge, forget the Death Road and go for Huayna Potosi. The ascension is hard and of course you have to take the necessary precaution to minimize Mountain Sickness probability (drink lot of water, coca tea and stay above...More

If you have any interest in mountaineering, then Huayna Potosi is a solid walk-up into thin air. Despite the fact that it seems to be a tourist destination, it is a good challenge on a glacier, just be prepared for a lot of hard work...and...More

Amazing experience to climb past the 6,000 metre mark. The ridge to the summit is also a superb experience. People may say it is 'easy' for 6,000 metres but I saw quite a few fit people having to turn due to altitude. This is tough,...More

Fantastic looking mountain with a stunning and very narrow final snow/ice ridge to get to the top. It is very accessible from La Paz, it can be done in two days. Because of this it gets busy with inexperienced backpackers trying to climb a 6000m+...More

Went in July 2011 Didn't climb it but I saw it near Chacaltya and it was INCREDIBLE! Magestic. The land in Bolivia is breathtaking. I wished I had more time and I would have climbed this mountain!

The mountain itself it beautiful, and the climb is fairly easy considering the altitude. I would certainly recommend it to anybody who has already been at altitude long enough to be acclimatized to La Paz. My experience with Travel Tracks was quite negative however. Despite...More

Hi there January is not the best time to climb , you can go by yourself as a private tour for one person it does cost more. As it’s the low season there are not groups leaving every day. Jeff
