Excellent, friendly golf course and the World’s Highest
Jun 2018 • Solo
I had the pleasure of playing here on a weekend and was paired with 2 of the lady members. Their hospitality and that of the course staff was superb. The course itself is quiet challenging given the altitude and the fact that a lot of the holes are long, straight and narrow. The scenery is spectacular, with a couple of tee shots over canyons. The cost was 600BS for green fees, 200 for rental clubs and 120 for a caddy. The course is closed on Mondays. They even provide you with a certificate for playing the World’s Highest Golf Course.

Green oasis in a crowded, dusty city
Jun 2017 • Couples
While "social golfers" we could not resist playing 18 holes at the world's highest commercial golf course while in La Paz for 2 days. It was an amazing experience to walk the beautifully maintained fairways that sit amid the Mars-like landscape. As Aussies we loved the massive eucalypts and the bird life - a refreshing change from the city CBD which is just 16km away.
The course requires some accuracy but was not too daunting and our caddies were very well coached - they were encouraging and helpful and certsinly helped us relax which has not been our experience at some international courses.
The club is over 100 years old but the course and clubhouse facilities are modern and certainly up with best international standards.
All staff we encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Our only criticism was the age of the hired men's lefthanded clubs while the ladies' were good.

Unique golf club

La Paz Golf Club is a unique experience in La Paz. A green oasis in the middle of the dry, eroded Andean hills, it provides you with a striking contrast you will never forget.
The golf with caddies is perfect and the food service at the restaurant is very good and cheap.

One of a kind! A must in La Paz.

This is an spectacular golf course which Is an oasis in the middle of an eroded landscape.
The course is incredibly well kept with foot gardeners tending the lawns and sweeping the dry leaves off the greens!
As the highest golf course int why world, it is very forgiving of your game's shortcomings: your ball travels farther, straighter and your slices are minimized.
Best of all, you have a personal caddy that notwithstanding the language barriers will help you reading the greens and enjoying the game.
Highly recommended!!!

Superb golf course. What a privilege to play on the highest golf course in the world! Service is far from amazing, restaurant below average and staff far from friendly. Just visit for the golf.

One of the most beautiful and best courses in the world.

Iv played all over the world and this is by far one of my favorite courses. Beautiful views of the mountains. Awesome greens and fairways. The altitude makes club selection very interesting. I would recommend to anyone. Definitely worth lugging your clubs for this bucket-list course!

Unique golfing experience, worth it

This is clearly an exclusive club for the rich of La Paz, and expensive even for a European. But it's worth spending the money, the highest course in the world, with a great hole 12, and a nice change from city centre La Paz. I booked with Kanoo Tours in the city, Pedro was a great guide.

Golf course may be excellent, but restaurant is not up to standard.

Golf is not my sport, but we accepted the invitation of friends who are La Paz Golf Club members to have lunch here and afterwards walk with them while they played. This review is about the restaurant.
The location is superb with breathtaking views; it enjoys a micro climate that provides an eternal spring temperature. We sat at the terrace under a shade and ordered drinks and main courses. The buffet they provide on Sundays didn't look very inviting, just very standard fare. So we ordered a la carte.
The drinks took a very long time to arrive, while the terrace was not full. The young waiter was apparently new on the job, but didn't receive proper coaching from the supervisor who walked around and greeted the various customers.
We got our meals not at the same time, in fact one of us had to call the waiter twice to remind him of one missing main dish. Because it took so long to receive the food we ordered another drink, which never came. All in all very disappointing service!
The food itself was regular, nothing special.

So, please visit to play on the highest course in the world, but stay away from the restaurant.

Enjoyed the round

They say the elevation helps you hit the ball further and I certainly thought so. Nice lay out gives you very long holes to test the theory.
