I was amazed at what a storehouse of history is contained with the small walls of this museum. I found it to be very educational regarding the land rush, the history of Native Americans, etc.

This museum has a wealth of knowledge in the history of the Cherokee Strip Run. It h as many very interesting exhibits throughout the facility. The museum director is most helpful and truly interested.

The Museum is a fantastic walk through adventure for young and old alike lots of Land Rush materials but also much more regarding the history of Cowley County and Arkansas City

The only very negative review indicates the reviewer has no interest in history, or small towns. Calling Arkansas City "racist" couldn't be further from reality. To the contrary, this is an excellent museum encompassing much more local history than the land run which opened nearby...More
