The museum was closed when we visited, but we walked in the sculpture garden, which is amazing!
Every piece of art is superb and displayed beautifully, so you pleasantly walk around and beyond each sculpture while enjoying the outdoors. The little lake/ pond and the tree area create a perfect landscape for the art displayed in each of them.

There is enough space so nothing is crammed.
We will go back for the museum. It was a wonderful experience!

Must admit modern art is not our first choice for art but we really enjoyed the sculpture garden and the architecture of the museum itself. This is a very peaceful setting. The facility is wheelchair accessible although some paths are a very flat/flush cobblestone. The museum is free

We visited today and enjoyed the artist’s work and the lovely park. As always, some of the other artist’s works weren’t to our taste, but that’s art. The place is a bit disorganised, but I guess that’s art too.

I live in Punta, yet I never tire of visiting the Fundacion. Pablo Atchugarry is Uruguay's greatest living artist, and a wonderful person. The Fundacion is intended to showcase the works of other artists, as part of Pablo's desire to help young artists, and those just getting started. His own works are at the back of the property, in the third building. Also throughout the summer season, there are concerts and events almost every weekend. The location is about 10 minutes past La Barra, and very easy to find.

While this is mainly the art of Pablo Atchugarry, it also includes many other artists. The setting is a magnificient garden plus two museum buildings. If you are lucky you'll even get to meet Pablo as we did. If you are interested in sculpture this is a can't miss.

This is the place if you want to escape from the (crowded) beaches and bars and enjoy a quiet afternoon, walking around a large space, very well kept and with some interesting sculptures and installations.

The artwork is stunning but the real draw are the grounds. A large ranch has been made over to showcase contemporary art. Off the beaten path, but well worth the drive to see.

Sculptor Pablo Achugarry has made a dream come true. His foundation has become a must for Punta del Este visitors. The excellent galleries with natural light and huge glass windows offers exhibitions the whole year round, while during the summer months there are important concerts and courses. The entrance to the galleries and sculpture park is free and it is a real pleasure to walk among the sculptures at any time of day. His own workshop is there and the visitor can have a hint of the origin of Achugarri's magnificent pieces. If you enjoy art, don't miss it.

This is a big park with excellent exhibition buildings, Pablo's sculpture atelier and open air sculptures musuem. All here is first quality in every sense. The reception and information desk is very well serviced. There are many available books in high quality editions. The exhibitions are magnificent. The experience of seeing how they work the Carrara marmos and to touch that material created by bature in millions of years, is of great value. It takes at least two hours to have a general view of the park. Most intereseting is a small chapel with Pablo's verison of La Pietá. Great work, the design , the natural illumination, even the music, everything perfect! Worthwile
