Just recently back from Khalifa park. I was reading about Abu Dhabi museum and aquariums.

The place is close to Grand Mosque AD. You can travel by bus, but personal car is the best choice because there are alot of parking outside the park

The ticket for enter the park is 2 dhs and plus 5 dhs extra for museum and aquariums.

You can see alot of history of UAE especially AD by sitting on the small cable car and they will move you all inside. And there is some audio to explain you about what you have seen.

Then the way out you will see small aquarium which is nice

So 7dhs for all of these are totally valuable.

But I would not give 5* for this because the place is too old and need some renovation.

Also outside of the museums you can enjoy the huge park and library.

I do not recommend this place for historical traveller, but definitely for sure khalifa park will be suggested to all of kids and family group.

This park has seen better days. They are working on it so maybe after the renovations are done. The only playground is a mini theme park with the popup rides and slides. We walked it and rode the train (3 dhr) , but got annoyed when the train stopped for 30 minutes at the other end of the park. It wasn’t busy so I imagine that played a part in it. Aquarium and Museum were closed when we arrived around 7pm. We parked with a rental car right outside the gates and it appeared to be free parking, but we did see a parking meter as we left- one away from the main building. (We saw a person scanning cars so we won’t know if we missed paying for parking until a ticket comes in! )
I have been to nicer parks, but because you pay 2dhs to get in I expected it to be nicer like one we visited in Sarjah. Just ok.

I love this place! It was a history museum that is connected to an aquarium!
I went here with family and we really did enjoy a lot.

The entrance is very cheap, museum (1AED) + aquarium (3AED) including the train rides (2AED) that roam around the park is 6AED/1.63USD per person, I'm not kidding!

The building entrance at the back (where the museum is) doesn't look like a museum, so perhaps driver's might be confused that they went to the wrong place, There's no English signage too. We learned that, we came at the back gate and the main entrance, ofcourse has complete signage.

The park is very big but the aquarium and museum are not, can be explore in 30-40 mins. if kids will swim, then it will take more than that.

If you're with kids, definitely they will enjoy this place too, not only because there's train, also, inside the history museum, they do not need to walk, there's a small cart-like ride that carry everyone to each station / booth with life size mannequin and real life set up on how the people live in the old times. There's an voice over that can be heard explaining the details of their life.

It is like a museum safari!

After this, you can enjoy the aquarium, not that big but just enough for the kids to enjoy it too. After this you can now go out and enjoy the train ride. First stop would be near the Kid's waterpark, yes they can swim there too (they need their swim wear so be ready!), then for another 3 mins, the train will depart and you'll be back to the museum area.

There's also waterfountain at the park and very spacious. We went there during Eid, and we're expecting crowd, but to our surprised, we have the place all to ourselves!

Love the place!

It's a great place to visit either alone or with family. Winter is the best time to get in this park.

Went to Khalifa park non of the fountains where working. Nor was the train. And we wer the only ones there. Staff were useless. There is a museum and aquarium at the park which was nice once we found it. Museum has moving pods that tell a story of life in Abu Dhabi. There is a entry fee to get into the park and separate fees to get into the museum and train.

The ministries area is very important and people visited it to sign some paper or to do other stuff, it is very sorry to say the parking places are very limited and you need to wait for 15 to 20 minutes to find a parking.

The park is located near FAB head office near the Ministries Complex and near to Anantara Resort. The entrance to the park is opposite the back entrance to FAB head office. There is plenty of parking there on the weekend. The park is nice and costs AED 2 each (very cheap) to enter. There is a bit too much concrete in the park for my liking and no F&B outlets but I expect these will come in time. You MUST visit the museum/aquarium, they cost only AED 5 (for both) to enter so again very, very cheap. No crowds, no queues so do try to pop in, it won't take out much from your day and well worth it for the cost.

Large open space ideal for children safe place to have some fun.
Train ride, pedal cars available, 2 snack places to eat, beautiful water features.
BBQ area.
Easy parking.
It cost 2 dirhams per person to get into the park, there is an additional charge of 5 dirhams per person to get into the Museum and Aquarium which is excellent, but be aware that the Museum and Aquarium didn’t open until 3pm.. but well worth the wait.
The park opened at 10am.
