Some interesting information about life in Abu Dhabi before oil. Exhibitions ok but not great. Craftsmen working quite interesting but not all open. Okay if you've a little time to kill.

Our visit was at the end of the day and it was a bit over crowded. The museum is quite tiny; the craftmen's shops are also small. It's interesting to learn the history of the original settlers to the area.

I expected it to be worse based on some of the reviews, but it was a decent trip. I enjoyed the little stalls where some craftsmen were making some traditional items (carpets, clothes, silver, etc), although I don't think they were Emirati. The museum was nice for a quick walk-through as well. There were some animals to see, and a... More

I've hesitated before giving this my first ever one star review, but I cannot honestly say that I found any redeeming features here other than that entry was free. Yes, it was full of tourists, but that is to be expected. However, for a wealthy country like Abu Dhabi to present its heritage in this fashion is astonishing. The crafts... More

We stopped at the Heritage village as part of a tour for an hour. It's on the beach, with great views of new and older buildings. It also gives insight into how Abu Dahbi was 45 years ago- fascinating. It was a short stop but well worth it.

I didn't expect to have such interesting time there. it is good information about how life was before this amazing country made the change. it is very relaxing and you can buy some souvenirs at a good price while you see how they make them, glass, carpentry, weaving, craftmanship, pottery, leather craft etc. very nice view of abu dhabi from... A place worth visiting for first timers in the uae. A little village that carries the history of the country and artisanal work shops. The sea view is fabulous and not to be missed, with the city's skyscrapers in the background. The visit may take 30 to 45 min. Very touristic location I would recommend an early morning visit. Village... More

Visited while transiting in Abu Dhabi. Seriously, if this place requires an entrance fee, I am sure most of the ratings here would be Terrible. There is honestly nothing much to see here. Just some rundown huts built for tourists to see in addition to 3 poor animals on display. My whole family spent a total of 15mins inside and... More

This was the last stop on our city and mosque tour of Abu Dhabi. It was extremely busy - most coaches must have been working on the same timetable. We were only given half and hour because our trip to the Mosque had overrun so we didn't see a lot but it was quite interesting. Not a must see. Most... More

It is pretty obvious that there is not too much heritage to shout about in Abu Dhabi if this area is anything to go by. It is a small row of tatty tents selling all the usual stuffed camels, trinkets, scarfs and hats. This leads to another small area with a couple of tents with pretty much nothing in them.... More
