If you are a car lover it’s the best place to visit in winter season not recommended during the summer months. The ac doesn’t work and it was backing inside.
For AED 55 per person without air conditioning it’s not worth it.
The car collects are amazing- well maintained & clean. Surprised to few India car models.
There is an extra fee charged for payment made by card and if it’s cash it AED 55 per person.

On arrival on 29-10-2020 found the gates closed and a big CLOSED sign. Few other cars pulled up and left. Previously had called the number, no answer but website showed open. On return checked website and now states Closed with the number being unobtainable.
I do not know if the museum has closed there's no info.

We dropped in here on the way back from Qasr Al Sarab so didn’t make the trip just to see the museum.
Arrived and found out they only take cash, no cards. So had to make a trip to a local supermarket which had a cash point.
Back to museum, and we were the only visitors! Lots of cars and a few trucks. A couple of novelty large vehicles I.e. massive Land Rover out side and huge Dodge truck in side.
But apart from that just lots of quite ordinary cars. Also very little in the way of descriptions, just car Make, Model and year.

Nothing like the vehicles I expected. For sure there are many but no Ferrari- Aston - triumph,mg AC. I could go on. It’s in the middle of nowhere and no refreshments available. Glad I got the taxi driver to wait.

Really impressive selection of cars! A little bit in the middle of nowhere but I’d definitley recommend. Only slightly disappointing thing is you can’t go in the giant dodge or the giant globe caravan.

This is a car enthusiast's destination. The place itself is a 5 - unique & eclectic collection of some classic cars. There are no new vehicles or supercars. I gave this rating a 4 because of the location. It is out of the way and approximately a 50 minute drive from Abu Dhabi center. We had a rental car so it was fine but there is nothing in the vicinity. We loved the trek and enjoyed it but we are motor heads.

This place offers many unique cars, if you are a car lover, here we go it's ur place, there are huge cars outdoor and the unique normal cars are indoor, all cars are real someone used them sometime but they became a piece of art for different reasons, each car has a story behind it.

I took advice from here on Trip Advisor and rang ahead. The museum is currently 'closed'. As far as I gather they are re-opening after July. A shame as I was going to take my car enthusiast Father-in-law there today, however glad I didn't make the trek down without ringing.

We had been to the "museum" before, and thoroughly enjoyed the bizarre eclectic nature of the place. The cars stored there are fascinating and kept in good condition.
But now, there are entrance charges, formal opening hours and it describes itself as a museum. Do not be taken in by this, when we arrived, we were met by the man who runs the juice bar, he said the guy with the keys was not there. He gave us a mobile number and said ring, he might come back and let us in. No joy, the man very rudely said it was too windy (?) and hung up. The web site does say the opening hours are subject to change, but there is no way of checking before you drive all the way out there.
On talking with friends, it became clear that this is not an isolated incident.
If you do get in, the exhibits are fun rather than educational or informative, there is no one there to guide you or provide information and the exterior site is in need of care and attention. I

This place is a must visit for all petroheads. The number of cars on display and the variety is truly mindboggling. This place is what an auto enthusiasts wet dreams are made of.

Hi, is the museum open despite the covid crisis? Thanks in advance.

Note: I called today, July 9, 2017, to see if the Auto Museum is open (055-749-2155). The gentleman on the other end said the museum is closed for maintenance currently and will be closed for one month. With this in mind, they will be closed until at least August 9, 2017. Definitely call ahead.

It was already closed in february, I'm not sure they will open again.

May I know how to get to the National Auto Museum from Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station?
I checked a website that bus X65 goes to this museum, wonder if this information is still valid.
Does anyone knows if the bus stop is walking distance to the museum?
Written October 26, 2015
Not advisable to go by bus to the Car Museum. Firstly because it is off the regular tourist route. Secondly when we visited last year I inquired about public transport buses, but it is tour operated service and not like a city bus service. It would be worthwhile to rent a car or hire a taxi. Taxis are not very expensive. The museum is a good 2 hours travel from the city.

Hello, i was just wondering how much it is to go to the museum, we are going in march and cannot see a price anywhere.

50 durims . The only place you will find this out is as you enter. Not even posted on outside.!
Hard to spot entrance. Little old man collects money & puts it in a tin . Cash only.
It's worth it.
No where to eat, or buy snacks. Small outlet on site sells fruit drinks. Best to bring own water etc
Ask him if you can go out back after the inside , there the giant willy jeep is.
An eccentric , eclectic place , but worth the journey & price.
