Plan for about 3 hours to see and read everything that the Louvre has to offer. Very affordable as well.Hello Nic, thank you for your positive review! - Andrew J11 contributionsA Captivating Visit to the Louvre MuseumOur trip coincided with our attendance at ADIPEC, and exploring the Louvre added an extra layer of cultural enrichment to our visit. The Louvre Museum, with its world-renowned collection of art and historical treasures, left us in awe from the moment we stepped through its grand entrance. The magnificent architecture of the museum itself, paired with the extensive art collection, made it a truly captivating experience. Walking through the galleries, we were transported through time and across continents, marveling at the diverse range of art and artifacts on display. From the iconic Mona Lisa's enigmatic smile to the majestic Winged Victory of Samothrace, every piece was a testament to human creativity and ingenuity. One of the highlights of our visit was the opportunity to appreciate art from various cultures and eras. It was a wonderful journey of cultural discovery that deepened our understanding of the world's history and heritage. The museum's organization and layout made our visit enjoyable and manageable, allowing us to explore at our own pace. The informative signage and audio guides provided valuable context, enhancing our appreciation of the artworks. In summary, our visit to the Louvre Museum was a profound and enriching cultural experience that added a unique dimension to our trip for ADIPEC. It was a moment of shared exploration and discovery that my girlfriend and I will cherish forever. Thank you for preserving and sharing the world's cultural heritage in such an exceptional way.Hello, thank you for your detailed review! The spaces are large and clean, so it is easy to admire the masterpieces here. Of course in terms of actual masterpieces it does not come any close to many of the large museums in Europe or North America, but definitely it is well worth a visit. They also have a nice children’s area and a pleasant cafe overlooking the water. Do not miss this place if in AD.Hello, thank you for your detailed review! - Eileen HCharleville, Ireland14 contributionsFirst visit to La Louvre Abu Dhabi but not the last.I had a most wonderful experience today while visiting La Louvre Abu Dhabi. Structurally it is a beautiful building. It's very well laid out. I took a 45 min tour which I would highly recommend. It gave a taster of each exhibition and an insight into some sculptures and paintings that would not be obvious unless pointed out. Our tour guide ( 12 noon 8th Nov ) was so knowledgeable and very interesting with a lovely sense of humour. She brought the museum to life during her brief tour. Lunch was absolutely delicious. A beautiful restaurant which felt like it was floating on water. I enjoyed the crab and advocado salad which was sublime. No queues . Easy access from a taxi. An interesting shop which wasn't overpriced. In summary a must visit location while in Abu Dhabi even for the less enthusiastic art or museum lover.Hello Eileen, thank you for your detailed review! A small but interesting collection of paintings, sculptures, statues and ancient artifacts. Also at the end of the tour there is a restaurant with very tasty cuisine on a wonderful, comfortable veranda by the water. There is also a children's space mini-museum with an interactive space representation of the solar systemHello, thank you for your review! - Alison BCalne, United Kingdom62 contributionsWowIncredible architecture and worth a visit just to see the building. Beautifully laid out exhibits and a joy to see then without it being busy. It does feel like you race through 12,000 years very quickly and there seems to be one painting by each famous artist for the modernists but nonetheless very enjoyable. The temporary Cartier exhibition was stunning.Hello, thank you for your review! - good_antsDoha, Qatar660 contributionsTruly stunning....and magnificent, educational, professional, and unique: the Louvre in Abu Dhabi!! What an incredible few hours we spent here. Artifacts and exhibits were world-class. Staff were welcoming, helpful, and kept things efficient. The grounds are other-worldly, and not where I would expect a museum to be. No faults or errors for our visit. Money.Visited November 2023Traveled with friendsWritten December 8, 2023

The louvre museum, a magnificent attraction in Saadiyat island,Abu Dhabi. This culturally modern museum has been welcoming tourists and citizens since November 11th 2017. I had a wonderful visit and the art was insightful.
The museum is surrounded by a calming view of water and a dome covers it, creating an illusion which makes it seem like the dome is floating, the building is art which allows your mind to expect what's inside. Walking around feels like a fantasy, the modern yet vintage paintings and sculptures will find a way in your imagination and embed themselves in your memory.
A real museum is where art shows emotion like it's speaking to you. In my opinion this place is magic displayed by artists and it made my love for art grow even bigger, inspiring and gorgeous.
I would recommend anyone who appreciates art to visit The Louvre Abu Dhabi, you will definitely not regret a single second of it.

This is a worthwhile museum to visit but be aware that the only thing it has in common with the Louvre in Paris is the name pursuant to an agreement which allows use of the name (for 30 years I recall) and the loan of art work. Both the loaned artwork and the art acquired by the museum is worth seeing. The building is also interesting. Be aware that although it may seem close to the port (if you arrive on a cruise) that was it is not really that close and definitely not walkable but we found getting a cab at the cruise terminal and from the museum back to our boat was easy. However, make sure you have Dirhams because the drivers do not take credit cards. Also, if you are going on your own as we did, go early or late before or after the organized tours because it gets crowded and there were long lines just to pay. Also, apparently paying on line still requires you to stand in line in some circumstances or at least that is what we heard from others in line.

I would really recommend this place if you are visiting Abu Dhabi. The museum is really interesting (the collection is not as rich as in other well known museums worldwide, but I genuinely enjoyed it a lot, there's a mixture of paintings, sculptures, objects, books, etc.) and we spent around 3 hours in it. The architecture is amazing and the place gives you an amazing view of the city. People up to the age of 22 get 50% discount.

On Saturday the 11th of November, my friends and I attended the grand opening of the Louvre in Sadiyat island, in order to enter the louvre, you are made to pay 60 AED.
In my opinion the place was beautiful and spacious and all the employees there were very helpful with directions and information about paintings, the opening ceremony to the Louvre was extraordinary with beautiful fireworks and amazing light shows filled the whole area.
The louvre was spectacular the paintings there really taught about the history of many countries and they choose the best pieces of art work from all parts of the world, but the area is too big for my liking and has many rooms filled with nothing.
With all things considered the louvre was absolutely glorious, with many paintings and a beautiful circular dome if one were to make a suggestion it would be to decrease the area were the paintings are placed because walking around to look at the paintings is a workout alone.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a showcase of the similarities and common artistic orientations of different cultures and nations across history. As such it is an educational experience unlike any other I've had and I have been an avid museum-goer. Also take advantaghe of the museum's restuarant where we had a spectacular meal with wine at a very reasonable cost. my entire 76-year lifetime, starting when I could barely walk in NYC.

If you like museums, you will of course like this place, even if you don't, it should still be visited if you're visiting Abu Dhabi as its a famous tourist spot. Reason: its an experience and an unconventional museum. Its nicely organised and has a good collection of artifacts.

Immediately after we heard about the opening of the Louvre in Abu Dhabi. We started getting prepared as we had very high expectations on the newly opened museum. We heard a lot of good things from the media about it and it was the time to explore .
Before we even entered the Louvre, we were astounded and stunned by the fascinating exterior that this place had. Furthermore, the place was overlooking the sea which made everything even better. The Louvre is divided into sections, each section has a collection of attracting monuments with varying dates. The first couple of sections had monuments from the gulf area which included an inscribed rock found in Saudi Arabia that dates to thousands of years ago. The rest sections also contained a lot of other attention-grabbing monuments which belonged to different civilisations that lived on earth long ago, the last couple of sections contained modern arts and drawing which were not as beautiful as the ancient ones. There is also a kid’s area where they can play, participate in activities and learn history in very fun and interactive way. This prevented them from getting bored.
In my humble opinion, this was the best experience I've ever had in a museum and for sure I am looking forward to visiting this place again. one could also suggest that there should be more restaurants but other than that everything was perfect.
I highly recommend history lovers to give this newly opened museum a try and trust me you won't regret it.

The louver museum is located in Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi in the UAE. It is an art and culture museum, where people can observe several art work from all the world. It was built in November 8th 2017, and was opened in November 11th 2017.
The beautiful museum is surrounded by water and is covered with a magnificent dome, that appears to be floating. The museum consists of 55 buildings. People can walk through them and observe the amazing art.
I shared this experience with my family. We arrived there at noon. We were so excited to see such appealing art, we walked from one building to the other, there was a lot of colorful paintings and a variety of sculptures.
Overall, this adventure is unforgettable. We enjoyed our trip there. I personally would like to go there again. I would recommend this trip to people who are interested in ancient art work. I would also advice people to get there camera as there is a lot of amazing scenery as well as get your tablets and headphones, since there’s an app that tells you information about every piece of art .

World class management.
The architecture is
I suggest coming a little early to avoid crowds.
Louvre management:
1- security throughout the museum were loud whenever they were communicating with each other. This is unacceptable.

I would like to know if the dome of the Louvre Abu Dahbi museum, which allows light to enter in such a beautiful way, also allows the passage of rain? I imagine it rains little in Abu Dahbi, but still, is the dome leaked?
Thank you in advance !
