I saw this bridge for the first time 5 years ago and really loved it. So, when I came back recently to Abu Dhabi, with my wife, we had to drive over it. It carries a lot more traffic than it used to but is worth the drive to see such a unique bridge.

This is a bridge designed to have a different aspect of Abu Dhabi. This stands prominent as an entry gate to the island of Abu Dhabi. Night drive at the bridge will enhance our thoughts with the variant display of lights.

We crossed this bridge as we drove from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. Wished there were some area where one can take a picture of this besutiful bridge. There are several lanes for land transports, views of the water and buildings near it are beautiful background for photos.

Last year a taxidriver told me the arches of the Sheikh Zayed Bridge refer to a woman lying in her bathtub. Her shoulder, hip and ankle protude above the water. This year I hear the similarity with sand dunes. Whatever you believe the bridge is a interesting piece of architecture and I had to cross it many times these two weeks.

Crossed the bridge several times during my visit to ABu Dhabi. Did not get an opportunity to stop and take in the view. Looked like a beautiful piece of architecture.

If you need to pick a favorite bridge, this is it!! Traffic was smooth and so was the road! Everything in Dubai is new and clean.

This is bridge which connect to Abu Dhabi Island, if you are coming from Airport or Dubai you can see it. Architecture wise this is eye caching and in night time lighting make it more beautiful.

Well designed for traffic flow. Simple experience crossing a stunning design of a modern bridge. Allows the flow of daily work traffic and increased volume with back to school and tourists with so much ease. Looks nice lit up at night as well. Important navigation feature.

One feels the great effort done to build such a bridge in Dubai . Nice to pass by or over it in an un busy day with less traffic

Is it possible to cycle or walk on it in order to find a way from Mainland to Abu Dhabi??

I have seen 2 people in my time driving over the bridge (weekly). I therefore assume it is not illegal. As for cyclist, best conduct some internet research. Like another reviewer has stated, speed limit is 140 Km/h so be careful even though there is a path. UAE car drivers like to park where they want!
