You'll sure have a nice time visiting the top of Mount Qassioun. The atmosphere is great and the view of Damascus is sublime. It's a soothing experience. It would have been even better if there were better restaurants and cafes there.

Visited summer 2010 If you are in Damascus and have some free time, it is definitely worth the drive to see the view from here. It is amazing to see how sprawling the city really is.

The best time to go up there is at night, when Damascus shines like a galaxy filled with stars, and don't go to any of the restaurants, they'll just make you pay a lot for a view you could see for free if you stopped at the beginning of the road leading to them. of course it's off limits these... A nice view of Damascus from the mountain although I was always disappointed by the cafes and restaurants that are very expensive compared to others and for what they offer. I encountered prostitutes during the day which was a little disturbing. Wouldn't recommend.

You'll see the entire city from this spot. The last time I was there you could sit in one of the many restaurants along the road and have a nice meal.

Driving up the Mount Qassioun for the city view, day or night, is a must. It gets really crowded and noisy at night and on weekends. The place is very basic with little (if none) services. People go there for the view and to simply hang out. Afternoons and nights are more likely to be active with more cars passing... More

without any exaggerations the view from Qassion is triple times better than the view from the Eiffel Tower. Without any doubt you can't miss this extra-ordinary view. I highly recommend
