Great place to spend your free time. Very peaceful and pleasant. You can walk, bike, go for fishing or just seat and enjoy the view. There are areas for children and coffee shops.

If you are up for a jog or just plain fresh air and relaxing evening walk then visit The Corniche promenade. With the Doha City lights in your focus, you can't just stop marvelling at the beauty that is this city.

The Corniche is the sea front road stretch at the capital Doha. The road are wide but gets congested especially during weekends. This doesn't change the fact that the drive and the area is pleasant

I walked from the Four Seasons, past the Sheraton Park and towards the souk and the Museum of Islamic Art. There is little shade, even though the promenade is palmtree lined and landscaped, so if it's hot and sunny, do take it into account. No...More

Not far and it's a lovely walk; or get a quick taxi if it's blistering hot.

Qatar Airways Stop Over (0 Replies)
I just thought I'd share an experience with anyone who might be in the same situation. I booked a flight with Qatar Airways to Kathmandu and there is a 14.5 hour lay over in Doha. I read in the forum that Qatar Airways might pay for your hotel stay if the lay over is over 8 hours. I looked at my reservation and it said that it might be paid if it is over 8 hours but calling the help line is needed to confirm. I called and they said my flight wasn't eligable and the only flight eligible is the...More
