I droped by The Lounge around 6:40 and set at the Bar during happy hours the place has great dark ambiance, I had a bucket of 4 Carlsberg beers for only 100Qr which is awesome deal .the barman Samir was interactive but I felt for most of the guest who were siting at the Tables as they had to shout or raise they hands for service which I found very strange for such an very Established Property like Kempinski ,a lot needs to be done when it comes to service, I will give it one more chance I will take my friends this time the overall experience was great thanks to Leah& Samir

My favourite lounge in Doha, best place to come for drinks and snacks. Staff always remembers my drinks, even they are not simple. I love the live music there.

I'm coming to kempinski since last 4 months and still same.No improvement in the service especially in the piano bar.Servers do not have the same product knowledge.It is horrible.I still be coming here it's because I don't have another option!!!

I popped into the lounge and was impressed with the fit out, service and music. On arrival I scanned the room and choose a seat as far from any smokers as I could. After my first glass of wine at happy hour price I was thinking this place is what I have been looking for in Doha, however some chap sits at table next to me and smokes away, but when this chappy is not putting his death causing agent in his gob he is holding it out to the side and towards me! Then another chap sits next to me at the bar and asks if I am using an ashtray near to me, I say no, and I would appreciate it if you did not smoke near me. He of USA decent couldn't give a hoot, and lights up anyway. His mate walks in and does the same. I leave before I teach Captain America and his mate the Marlboro Man a fairly forceful Australian style lesson in bar manners. Failed...smoking kills you.. And the people around you...management please ban it or set aside an area OUTSIDE for smokers for the health of your patrons and staff.

This is a nicely decorated bar behind the miror entrance at Kempinski Residences & Suites. I really like the look and feel, especially the bar glowing stone work. It was a quiet Friday night when we visited only 3 or so other tables occupied. It was nice to see some different beers available, we had the Spitfire (60r) and the Al Maza (40r). The table crisps are a must!!!!! Delicious! Homemade??? So those are the postives, but a few things put me off that night. Communicating with our server was very difficult. When we asked simple questions about the food menu he just looked at us blankly, I'm not sure if it was because he didn't about the food menu and he couldn't communicate in English, but he just stood in front of us and wanted us to point at the menu. Second there was an extremly intoxicated man asleep on the bar (it was 8pm). His head was actually slumped on the bar, he was left in this position the whole time we were there and only just before we left was he helped out. From a health and safety point of view I was surprised he was left so long with the staff not helping him, I was very close to helping him myself. But saying that I don't think they have Responsible Service of Alcohol responsabilities (or training) here like they do in other countries??? The third thing was it was pretty expensive for the food even for Doha standards, that's why I think they may be catering for the business traveller?? We were starving and because we couldn't get any English out of the waiter re portion size, played it safe and ordered 2 dishes. Mine was the Thai Jumbo Shrimp for 59Qar. I was pretty stunned when 2 shrimp arrived, yep that's 30QAR per shrimp!!!! I think that goes down as my most expensive prawn ever! Oh well I'll put it down to a once in a lifetime experience :-) They also very strangely came on the same plate as my husbands beef?? This bar apparently does a 50% off deal during 5-7pm which would make it more reasonable for drinks and food. They are also in the Entertainer Book for a 2 for 1. Oh and the bathrooms were nice :)

I enjoyed the food and entertainment they had on offer here. I believe i ordered the mezza plate and it was great. Service did take a while though

Been there several times with my friends in the Lounge and frankly speaking nice place to chill after work, quiet atmosphere, good level of music so you can still speak with friends, good service and prices for beverage. A bit dark over there but it's ok. Very polite bartender from Serbia or Macedonia, can't recall his name but good staff member.

We had our team gathering last Saturday in The Lounge, place was perfectly suited for our get together as it was relaxing and nice atmosphere. We had our pass around food serving, we enjoyed all the foods as it was tasty and delicious. And lastly, we would to commend the friendly staffs and the manager as well as they are all very professional, Great Service! We will surely come back on our next gathering again.

The Happy Hour is very good. If you like a bucket of beer or some decent wines and some good bar food at reasonable prices then its great. The staff are all very friendly and good and keeping you filled up - top stuff. Special mention for Leah and Estelle on that front :-)
