Fairly good fish market, reasonable size but certainly not big. Interesting to see the variety of sizes, shapes and hues of fish caught in the vicinity, including some real substantial specimen. You can stand by and observe how the fish are gutted and prepared. A real local working market, relatively few tourists in sight. There are even some tail-gate sales... More

We are seafood lovers and this place is almost a weekly visit must except in summers. Good fresh variety of seafood sometimes bargain prices. Also a bit touristy.

The fish market inMuttrah is one of my favourite places to enjoy on Saturday to buy fish for family. There are many types of fishes available there and most of them are even fresh or of the last night brought from another cities. There are also expert young people that prepares the cutting for the visitors for their fishes

This is probably one of the oldest fish market in muscat. You get to choose from a variety of fresh fish from here if you go in the morning.

Just visit and watch the locals at work buying and selling fish. Watch the catch taken from the boat to the market area and then sold. Great hour spent here

Whilst visiting the capital city of Oman, Muscat, we wanted to see something authentic and headed to the Mutrah Fish Market. Adjacent to it a new and larger market is being built and I do not think it will have the charm of this small market yet lively early in the morning. Would recommend a visit whilst visiting Mutrah.
